Well, let me start this off by saying I'm very passionate about porn! I think this would be a great industry to get into. With all that said I think i would like to start a site. My concerns are that the market is too competitive and that I will be forced out by the bigger players. Also, the logistics of starting such a site. How much capital do I really need? I'm willing to put in the long hours and hard work I'm sure it will take. My only hope is that I can create a site that truly shows my love for this and turns people on! Haha! So any insite you guys can give me would be great! I know there is a lot of people here who like porn as much as me and more so!

I would suggest that you need to figure out what you would offer that cause people to go to your web site instead of the many other gay porn sites. And you need a business plan (all the things you need for any new business - expenses vs income, legal, technical, etc). If you haven't any experience in the industry (both porn and online), you might consider working for someone for a while. If you want some first hand information you might run out to LV and take Austin and Zane, of "austinzane . com" to dinner. They have entered the business fairly recently and have had success. Passion, love of the business, and willingness to work hard are important attributes in starting any new business, but you still need to be offering something that will differentiate your product from other gay porn producers, with a sufficient net income to be a sustainable business. I would imagine it requires the same basic things as starting any other business: money, time, patience, intelligence, and above all else determination.

Yes there are already many players out there and much competition, all vying for the limited cream of the crop of guys who are willing to do almost anything on camera. But from what I have seen, there is still much room for improvement. I think many sites still don't grasp everything what gay porn audiences want to see. So your challenge is to think about what you can bring that is currently missing, and how to get the best guys to do it for you on camera. Good luck.
