Well, my eyes are always focused on the monitor -- so I guess, yes.

How fast can you type?
129 wpm with 100% accuracy. But that's if I'm copying from a book. If from me, probably 70 since my brain translates too many times.

Yes, at all times.

Nope, only for keys such as brackets, slants, and keys that start out with CTRL+ALT.

Do you ever look to make sure you typed the right number?
Not really, I find it better not to look at numbers when I am typing so I can see right away on the screen if I made a mistake.

How fast can you type?
5 words per minute..so it took me about 2 hours to type this reply already!!!! hehehe... The last time I checked I was typing on a my laptop but I bought a desktop so I know my typing has slowed down. My last test was about a year ago atleast and I could only type 65 wpm..

okay, this thread gave me a sudden interest so I just took several test online and got 3 results with a desktop keyboard.

95, 91, 99.

so average would be around 95 wpm. Wow, I am so happy! I didn't know my typing skills had improved so much in about a year! (I bought my new computer about 8 months ago.)

Yes, because those have always been the most difficult to master...don't know why but I always check.

How fast can you type?

I used to type very accurately 70-80 wpm; I am faster typing but the mistakes are more frequent. It is one of the things I noticed when switching from typewriters to computers -- you get quicker, the computer tells you when you make a mistake, and it is much easier to fix!
