I live in small town. gays are not well liked here. I went to a small local bar and used the bathroom. As I looked at the stall wall, I see "______ is a fag!" it said my full name! I was humiliated. How many people have seen this and NOT said anything to me? All I could feel was that people at the bar were laughing at me behind my back. The owner of the bar & I used to be close friends, but had a falling out. (He is in the closet btw) He is very popular in town and he has a lot of friends, so I cant complain to him. For all I know he could have been the guy to have written it. I tried to wipe it off but it was etched into the wall with a key or something.

Maybe I am over-reacting but I haven't stepped foot in there since. I am just to humiliated. !oops!
 
Are you out or closeted? How strongly this impacts you may hinge on that. Also is it a gay bar or just a bar?

If your name is Johnny Jones or something like that, it might not be you the keyer is referring to. But on the other hand, if your name is Xavier Roullart, then ...

If you can be strong enough and insensitive enough to the hurt, it would probably be best if you could continue to go to that bar and show that names can't kill you, although they surely can hurt.
 
Oh, I see from your profile that you are only out to your friends. So maybe the keyer is just guessing and being hateful. all the mr reason not to stop showing up there.

That would be pretty humiliating and degrading. Especially not knowing if it was a so called friend who wrote it or an enemy I'm unaware of. It's childish behavior, and pretty chickenshit to do it behind the back anonymously like that.

... but... it's true. You are gay. There's nothing REALLY slanderous there. I mean, at least it didn't give details like, "gives good head, takes it up the ass".

I don't know... if that town is small as you say, maybe you should go back and add your phone number. You might get a bunch of closeted action. Before apps that was how some gays found each other.

Then why have you come out then, if you cannot take the heat ?!? Besides, everybody knows everyone´s business in a small town, doesn't matter anymore if someone is gay, it´s not illegal. So, grow up and get a fuck buddy, who you can show to everybody and try to stay sober. Now you are just acting like a little miss sunshine.

Go buy a small can of spray paint that blends with the wall and pay one more visit to the bar, use the can and fix the problem.
 
they'll only make a big deal if they think it bothers you. In a small town everyone knows everyone's business. So they all know.

But they also know you're not out. So they see that as a weakness and people in small towns are bored assholes (which is why they know everyone's business) and they'll go for that weakness because they live in a small town and what the fuck else are they going to do?

The official sport of small towns in Gossip and gossip requires you do shit like that.

So.. take away their weapon. Come out. It will no longer be seen as a weakness. AND... your former sex partner will see that you have nothing to lose and be a fuck of a lot nicer to you because he won't want you to out HIM too.



OR... you could move. Your choice.

But clearly being in the closet in a small down hasn't worked out very well for you.
