I guess the question posed was, "how would you respond to this ad?" After reading the ad in the first post, my immediate thought was "I wouldn't." I guess I've run out of patience with these game-playing time-wasters (if I was in the market, which I'm not). I'd want someone who 1) knows what he wants and 2) knows I can give it to him!

I have to say I'd read the ad much like you did. And hey, I don't really like to judge people too harshly - eventually someone with greater patience or faith than I might respond to this ad and the advertiser might find that he likes it (or that he doesn't). So here's hoping he finds his man.
