HP Deathly Hollows Part 1 AND 2!?

So I recently found out that the final movie for Harry Potter is now the final movieS...they are going to make 2 movies out of the deathly hollws...for 2 reasons I think....to milk it for every last penny they can seeing as its the last 1 and because its the last 1 to capture all the action...what are thoughts?? I KIND OF like it that all the "action" will be there but it sucks that after seeing the 1st part you gotta wait a year to see the rest :S the first part comes out in 2010 second part in 2011

They can't do that! It would completely fuck it all up, IMHO. I would rather sit through one long movie, than two. Sure the long movie might be about 3, 3.5 hours long, maybe even 4 but I would rather sit through that then 2 movies.

I think it's a good idea. Not only do they double their profits (sucks for us because we have to pay twice....) but they can include everything from the book in the the movie. That is the main reason they are doing this...they want to do the book justice and not exclude anything from the movie. As far as their release dates, CenaOrtonLover, we will not have to wait a year for the second one. The first is being released in November of 2010, and the second one is being released in May 2011...

and sexyguy, I'm thinking the movies are both going to be 3+ hours because they aren't omitting anything from the books!

well i like this, cuz that means that the movies are gonna have everything that is in the book, and thats gonna be really great cuz the past movies are just like a sumarize of the book and i didnt like them as much as i liked the books.

This probably belongs in movies... or maybe here too cuz it's "news" and "celebrity" (Daniel Radcliffe) is in HP so yeah.... lol

anyways yea it's in 2 parts now. they said it's because the book was too detailed and important for 2 hours so they are gonna make it 4 hours... and another reason might be, as you have said, cuz they wanna make a lot of money from it because they know people are gonna watch the last HP movie... or movies....

Honestly, Hollywood. Anything for a buck. I have heard that the studios (or someone in Hollywood), tried to pay her (the author) big bucks, to write another HP book.
