He's a first cousin of the British Queen, younger brother of HRH the Duke of Kent. Married to a grand Austrian who is far too continental for her own good. A distant relative of your king as well.

No such thing. RP is a 19th century public school invention based loosely on the speech of middle class Essex. Now I love RP, but no way, is it something like THE traditional English accent. It is the manufactured speech of the Victorian ruling class--it's a sort of generic SOUTHERN. I enjoy the slightly democratized versions of RP used by osme younger members of the Royal Family--Public School kids, etc.

He has a good accent. You can tell he's had a Royal upbringing.

His accent here is a dying breed.

Some might also be interested in knowing that Londoners and Kentishmen spoke so differently before the 17th century that they could only with difficulty recognize the other as speaking English.

Yes it's sad. But your country seems to have declared war on all the "Merry Ole England" stuff in favor of Tony Blair's "Cool Britannia" it's sad. :(
