did you really just say you think Zac Efron is more masculine than Ryan Reynolds?
i think it would be pretty cool if they went with lesser known/new actors

Ryan is not masculine enough, not that he is not masculine..I m think of Chris Hensworth ..if Efron was taller he would be my #1 pick for the role.
I heard this movie is amoral and gruesome and all about teens killing each other?
the thing i think set The Hunger Games apart from typical teen novels was that it didn't really have a proper love story in it. i think the book and the film both handled the 'romance' very differently. i don't really want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet so i'll be careful, but i feel like the film pushed the love story in a more straightforward way to appeal to that audience.
in the book, Katniss has a lot more distrust for Peeta and a lot of the time is spent setting them up as rivals. later on, their relationship is played quite differently, which the film only hints at - eg. Haymitch sending the note that said 'you call that a kiss?' and Katniss' line at the end when she says she wants to forget about it all.
it still follows a lot of the teen audience cliches, but i quite liked the difference there.

Flip that COIN! Yes, they are described as having dark skin. That would have been enough for me.It was reported on MSNBC that Hunger Game Fans took to Twitter in an uproar about the Black characters in the movie...
One commentator asked "Did these angry people read the book(s)?"
Are the characters in the book described as Black? Is Lenny Kravitz part suppose to be white?
