Easter 2009 was the 30th Anniversary of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. This year we pulled out all the stops to make this the biggest and most inventive party we've ever thrown. More than 200 nuns traveled from all over the world to attend the festivities than ran for 6 days. As always, the highlight of Easter was the Hunky Jesus Contest. It never ceases to amaze us how the contestants can be so creative and so blasphemous at the same time! This year went way over the top with one Jesus arriving with two live sheep and donkey. And guess what - Livestock Jesus only came in second!

Watch the video to see who won, but to see more Hunky Jesus and sexy shirtless men enjoying the beautiful spring day, join the Lavender Lounge VIP Room.

I was hoping this would die a lonely death - this is sacriligeous, irreverent, phony - and you iknow what - people are tired of this same old crap! These phony "nuns" should hang it up - no onbe cares about them anymore!

Chase0310,

I'm not sure what you do in Cleveland for fundraising and "fun", but those "phony" nuns threw a FREE event for 35,000 people for their 30th Anniversary and gave away $18,000 in grants that day. During the same week, they also debuted an exhibit at the Public Library and held the biggest art opening the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts ever had. Then there's Pink Saturday that attracts 200,000 people and working the gates at Folsom Fair that brings in $300,000 a year.

So no, the Sisters are far from dying a lonely death. There are now 45 Orders of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on four continents.

And as for the sacrilegious part, where in the bible does it specify a dress code?

The pope can kiss my ass.

Well, I have to admit that I am sitting on-the-fence on this one (the fence feels good on my back-side--giggle)................

................making light of another's faith is not one of my past-times but I cannot speak for others---so if the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc., by making light of the faith of the followers of Jesus, want to raise $ for folks who need a bit of help--without physically or emotionally hurting others--well they have that right to do so................creativity is a protected art................

................now then, those followers of the Jesus would argue that those folks participating are being spiritually misguided--for I can see that argument also--but if you believe so strongly then you must also grant the participants the right to express their "free-agency" as taught by Jesus................

It's rare to find someone on the fence these days. Everyone seems to be polarized about everything.
