Hurricane Watch

The storm winds have lowered to 150 mph but it is still heading westward. They are saying that they expect it will turn northward and speed up a little. As it gets further north is will lose some of its strength. It will still be close enough to cause damage to all the coastal areas of the southeastern USA. Where I live just north of Orlando we are suppose to get winds of 60 mph and gusts higher.

We here have lucked out and the storm dropped to a Cat 2 and is mainly going to stick to the ocean. We are having a little rain and there will be storm surge on the coast. The poor people in the Bahamas took a beating tho.

I am so glad I was born in an area without much major weather.

We postponed our return drive to FL from our cabin in the Catskills NY because of this storm. We paid thru nose to have our storm shutters put up because we are away. It’s better to be safe than sorry, but I’d say Florida dodged a bullet with this storm. Thank you once again to BillyT for the updates!

I have been thru everyone that has come in or near Orlando and have never left the house or apartment that I lived in at that time. The only problem I have ever had was the loss of electricity and once it was 5 days without.

I'm pretty sure he's ordering people in NASA to come up with a new technology to control the weather so he could ravage Alabama just to prove that he was right.

The devastation of the hurricane is jaw dropping. Its almost total obliteration. Very sad
