I’m going to be a daddy again

Zeus in front is the boss but when it comes down to playing Apollo kicks his butt. Apollo also steals Zeus’ treats.

Lazy and gorgeous. :)

That's how I feel today. The lazy part :)

They’ve switched spots. Apollo is now in my lap and Zeus is on the couch.

About an hour but I’m fine with that :)

^ Yeah, my half hour nap today turned into an hout cos when I tried to get up he grabbed me with his little [STRIKE]paws[/STRIKE] claws.

That second picture is like "pose perfect" :)

I once wanted to get a fish tank for my cats but ended up with a mouse instead. I named him Ichi (after Ichi the Killer). He quickly got accustomed to having four cats pawing hungrily at his cage and learned to ignore them.

He lived for two years, which, I've been told, is biologically impossible. On the day I found him dead, he was simply half-upright in his cage with one hand on his wheel, as if he had been going to get on it and somebody zapped him with a freeze gun.

I wanted to bury him in my friend's backyard, so I wrapped him in paper towels and put him in a ziplock bag in the freezer. I put off burying him so long that I forgot about him.

Years later I was online and came across a mouse video, which made me remember that I had a dead frozen mouse in my freezer. Deciding that enough was enough, I went looking for him but couldn't find him.

I still haven't. Is he still in there? Did I eat him by mistake?

I'm scared.

I euthanized a fish yesterday. He was the last of the black tetras I had and was getting to his age limit. The other fish have been picking on him and biting his tail. He was having a hard time swimming and I could just tell he wasn’t going to last the weekend so I read online that you could put them in a small container and put them in the freezer. They would slowly go numb and die without pain. It seemed to work. I actually forgot about it and went to check and the whole cup was frozen. There the fish was right in the center looking like he was swimming. I expected it to be on the top floating or on the bottom.

I once took a hamster to the vet to be euthanized. The doctor looked at me like I was crazy. He came back with my little hammy in a small box. When I got home I opened it, horrified to see his whole face was covered in blood.

Zeus loves watching the fish. He’ll spend an hour sitting like that watching them. Apollo only pays attention to them when I’m feeding them

My bedroom window overlooks the roof of the building next to me. Rico used to love watching the pigeons, starlings and the occasional seagull that hung out there, so I started throwing bird seed and food scraps out to attract them. A week later, the roof was covered with bird shit. It actually started to smell when it was hot out, so I had to stop.

I promise my next pet post won't end with shit, blood or cryogenics.
