I’m going to be a daddy again

train your damned animal or dont even bother having one!

I remember someone who had been a dog breeder commenting something along the lines that a lot of people have no business having a dog. Particularly a demanding dog. And those demanding dogs are the ones that a lot of people want...

Id love a cat but tne allergies say nope!
I gather there is some variability here. I've heard stories that some people with allergies can have a carefully selected cat.

I have found that I seen to have variable allergies with cats. Fortunately I was not allergic at all to my Mother's calico cat (the cat went to my Mother's sister, but they didn't take care of it, so I came and got the cat out of that situation). I had a college friend who got three kittens, supposedly litter mates. There was one with long raven black hair that tapered into a dark brownish tinge. I was very allergic to that one, and wouldn't you know it, that kitten was the most affectionate with me. There was a second black and white tuxedo cat. I was moderately allergic to it, and it would come up to me, but not quite like the other one. The third kitten was white and gray. I was not allergic to that one at all, and guess what? That kitten could hardly be bothered with me!

How I long to reach through the screen to caress those furry angels. Maybe the world is not such a bad old place after all if it can keep on creating such loveliness.

There would be plenty of rats in the Brooklyn alley. Puss would not go hungry. But I worry about what happens when cats eats rats that contain poison. Most of the rat killers are slow acting so the rat can be running around for days before croaking. Somebody please put my mind at rest by saying that a cat can tell when a rat is a bit druggy and knows when to avoid a meal that is not safe to eat.

There are a couple of feral/semi-feral community cats that live around me, that have learned to rely on handouts from humans. Every once in a while, a cat will leave a "gift" of a dead rat for me, usually in my driveway. The rats generally don't look like they've been eaten. I'm thinking the rats were already dead, probably from poison, when the cats found them. These cats at least don't seem to be eating the rats. I don't know if it's because they sense that they're not good for them, or that they simply don't bother because the human handouts are much better. I think these cats are generally well-fed, so I'm not sure you can generalize their behavior to feral cats that don't have people to feed them, period.

Maple is above the base desires of neutered princes.

She is like our Princessa.

Flirtatious but snaps the fan shut if any fabulous tabby gets fresh.
