hate mornings

unless i have stayed up all night and after a beautiful sunrise i crawl into bed

thankfully i have a job where morning waking is not required

Sometimes I'm alive in a morning - in an irritating Snow White singing and dancing with the birds and animals kind of way - and sometimes I'm a grouch until midday and beyond!

Luckily when I've got to go to look for work I tend to reach a happy medium! :)

UGH, I hate the morning. I need coffee first thing, that seems to help....

I'm not a morning person at all. I even have a T-shirt that says as much.

My sleeping patterns don't allow me to be up in the mornings, so unless I have something to do I usually don't get up until after 11 am. However I have to work at 6 am this week so gotta be up at 5:20, and thats a time no one should have to be awake for. Thankfully I'm not a grumpy person, though I do prefer not to have to participate in social conversation at that hour.

Depends what you mean by morning person. Get up early and do stuff? or Get up early, lay dreamily in bed for 20 minutes. Read a newspaper for half an hour while someone brings me tea. Look out the window. Then maybe take a nice shower and put a housecoat on while I have another cuppa? Eat bacon & eggs. OJ. Look out other window for a while. Yeah, then I'm a morning person.

My heart does not start beating till noon. Even though I force myself to usually be up by 8:30am, even on my days off, I am usually sluggish (in mind and body) until I've had my lunch. When I have to be at work at 8 or 9 in the morning, I usually am grouchy, or can't think clearly until around the afternoon......

I am soooooo much a morning guy. i've been off of work 4 months with a leg injury so I don't have to get up. But every morning I'm up between 4:30 and 5am and heading down the street for my walk. Then back home for coffee and the morning news, then off to physical therapy. I should also state that I can barely stay awake past 9pm unless I go out. I love the mornings, always have.

I wish everything would shift forward those 4-5 hours. Businesses not opening until 11 am, and staying open all evening. Breakfast at noon, and dinner at 11pm. Ahhhh, what a beautiful thought. :)

No matter how early or late I go to bed, I'm sleepy in the morning. No matter how little sleep I got the night before, I'm wide awake past 9 PM. I have never, ever been a morning person, no matter how hard I've tried.

Once in awhile I can wake up in the morning and bounce out of bed. Most of the time, I just want to hit the snooze button and snooooooooooze

Another not morning person here.

Worst morning shift I've ever had was last Christmas season and I had to be there at 4AM Sunday Morning. Which meant leave at 3:30 AM and up at 2:45.

Saw a bunch of flashing lights on the way to work, assumed it was a wreck. Got flagged down by a Police Person, and I dutifully rolled down my window. Officer Goodfellow says 'Good Evening, Sir, have you had anything to drink tonight?' It was a freaking sobriety checkpoint (which I might add are illegal in Michigan...unreasonable search and all that)!

I informed the helpful officer I was on my way TO work.

That wasn't even the worst part. The employees at the brewpub I pass regularly were still there enjoying their SATURDAY night. :(

Sobriety checkpoints are total bullshit. :grrr:
Granted they nab a few boozer-losers but percentage wise they get more violations for seat belt, license and insurance violations and even a few outstanding bench warrants...wait...what was the question again?

You should move to a Latin country :)

I agree, OP, I have also never been a morning person - or will ever likely to be a morning person.

I am definitely a morning person.

I often get a LOT of stuff done between midnight and maybe 5 or 6am. Then it's time for bed, LOL.

Oh, that's not what is meant by a morning person? Stick it where the sun don't shine, LOL

"Good morning everybody"
It's 6:12am here

...."Time to rise and shine"

Same here. It's 6:20am. Just got back from my morning walk. Still dark outside but the birds just started chirping so the sun is about to rise. Up at 4:30 this morning. Clear as glass this morning with a high of 85 today. I see a day of just lying by the pool, reading. ..|
