The past 4 or 5 months have been weird. Doctors weren't sure if I has covid or shingles... I guess I will never know. However, I am thinking that I had a severe case of depression. We went on a trip and on the way home we stayed over night in a town that I had lived in where a lot of tragic events took place in my youth. Soon after coming home I lost all energy. I had no desire to do anything, I had to talk myself in to doing the easiest of chores. Along with that I had terrible headaches daily along with ringing in my ears.
I stopped cutting grass and gave up 40 plus accounts and really didn't care about making money. I did manage to find a house to buy and have a buyer for our mobile home... should be closing on both in a few weeks.
A few days ago I found myself having more energy and felt better than I have in months. Have any of you ever gone through similar episodes?

Welcome back. I am glad you are starting to feel better and that your energy is coming back. I have had similar spells of depression. I suffer from manic-depressive disorder, so I take a roller coaster ride of being super hyper, then depressed. The good thing is, I have proper medication and know I can get through it. Has a doctor diagnosed your depression and put you on medication? If it returns, and you feel overwhelmed, see your doctor.

Welcome Back!

As for your situation - I had a similar one years ago and with the help of a very good therapist I eventually got to the other side. She taught me how to confront and process what had happened to me when I was a kid. During the process I had alot of depression and I also just wanted to crawl into a hole and hide - but a light came on in the hole and I came out of it much better and stronger that I could have ever imagined.

So - there is hope - and I hope you find your light and keep it on.

Welcome back.

I have had mild depression in the past, and the attendant listlessness, not wanting to tackle simple chores. Have not had it recently, but have slight fears of it returning as I battle the tasks of prepping my house for sale, trying to shop for a house and buy two states away, and dealing with the ineptitudes of my employer.

Always nice to see one of the sheep return to the fold. :)

Welcome back nice to see your back to your normal self

Good to see you are back among us. And that you are feeling more back to rights.

I had thought you were so busy with the house purchase and sale that you had no time for JUB.

Wow sounds awful, glad you are feeling better. Welcome back.

Thanks, the house purchase has gone fairly smooth... the sale of our present home was a little bumpy, we just had to wait for the right buyer who qualified. I have been busy packing and am glad that I have the energy to get it done.
