So I met my co worker we will call him P. We kinda bonded over both enjoying making music and then bonded over wanting to work out so we both joined a gym and when we would see each other at work we woul ask each other bout the gym.

Initially I wanted an instant close relationship with him so i would always touch his shoulder, pull him in to a bro hug and always shook his hand when i left work we would text a bit when he would get off work

so we worked out together one time and everytime we tried to meet up for the gym again something came up with him so i was like oh well lol and so i just saw him at work

for a while and after a while i noticed if no one is really around .........

Sexual harassment is sexual harassment, doesn't matter if its at work or elsewhere. It is still wrong and still a crime. Think about a male boss who invites a female employee over to his house for some reason, maybe to go over some notes for a big presentation or something. She arrives, dressed normally, to find a candlelit dinner and such. He hugs/fondles/gropes here (use whatever term you want). It didn't happen at work but is still sexual harassment. Another example: a male worker invites a male coworker over on the weekend, to watch the ballgame. Sounds clean and all. The coworker arrives and all seems ok as they sit down in front of the TV and start watching. As they watch the one guy keeps scooting closer to his coworker, maybe rubbing his thigh and so on...... Sexual harassment, yet it didn't happen at work AND there was no context of work happening.

The problem is that even when it happens outside of the work environment it affects the workplace. It creates issues between coworkers and makes the workplace less than bearable for the victim, as well as others caught in the middle at work.

Now here's the kicker: All that is really needed to prove sexual harassment is for the "victim" to perceive something was meant in a sexual way. Your actions have already proven that. Good luck with the fallout.

Whether it is at work, at someone's house or even in a public place, such as grocery store, public park, or yes even the gym, what you are doing is sexual harassment. You don't have to touch him for it to be harassment. In fact, physical contact would likely push it into the area of an assault.

But I've wasted enough of my time on one who doesn't want the advice he requested. Obviously your only intention in making this thread was to try to bait people into arguments, and I'm not going there. I've given you information you need to hear, whether you choose to hear it or not is up to you, the consequence for not heeding is on your head.

i will admit it is a bit sociopathic
but i wanted to spend time with him and making him uncomfortable and a bit inadequate satisfied me for evening the score not the most conventional or adversarial method but it works our friendship is temporary and conditional so im pulling all the stops now as to not waste much time
