I was born at Martin Army Hospital, Fort Benning, Ga. to a military family. All I have ever known is the military way of life. As of today I am LEGAL! I NEVER thought I would live to see this day!

Legal in relation to what? Please explain...

I'll assume since he's in the military and DADT was just repealed, he's legally able to be open about his sexuality.

Congrats Robert! pride:

(if I'm wrong in my assumption...congrats to whatever it is.)

Anyone else expecting him to announce that he was born exactly 18 years ago today, and enclose a picture of his cock? :)

Congratulations!

Lex

Are you healthy? I'd hat to discover you to be an ill legal.

Sorry guys! My mind has been kind of a blur today. No I am not actually Active Duty military. I got out in 1991. Way back even before DADT. back when they use to do witch hunts!

Which hunts did they do? Did they take you snipe hunting?

Yes, the government, before DADT, used to spend beaucoup effort to secretly investigate anybody who had aroused even the slightest suspicion of being gay. I think activities were tracked, friends were contacted, the whole nine yards...if somebody was observed walking into a gay bar or going to a pride event, they were almost certainly expelled from the military. And I believe that, at that time, the discharge was usually or always a DISHONORABLE discharge.

I'm really upset about one aspect of the reporting of the Repeal. They're saying that DADT, which was enacted in 1993, has been repealed - YES THAT'S TRUE. But nobody EVER says that, before DADT, things were even far worse, and DADT was actually an improvement over something like 200 years of kicking gays out of the military.

Because of this misinformation, there are probably a lot of people now who think that, before 1993, gays were never kicked out of the military and it was entirely OK for them to serve.

lol...I guess you could say it was something like that. ;)
