I have a brother that is good. Now this I am sure. No individual can say this as I can. I am proud of all that he is. I have no fear of anything as his arm is beside me.

Can any say this of the brother they have.
 
I deserve some older brothers that would accept me for who I am.

My brothers are amazing, AMAZING people and I love them to death. We didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things until I came out of the closet. The day after I did it, my eldest brother picked me up at my apartment and we were driving to my parent's house which was about an hour away. We stopped for gas and I went to get into the driver's seat as a force of habit. I realized what I was doing, got out and was like "Oh right, I'm not driving" to which he replied "We all know you gay guys can't drive anyway". I came back with "We can't drive automatics but we can handle stick just fine, thank you"

It may seem like a mean spirited thing for him to have said, but believe me - it was the best thing he could have EVER said to me at that point in time. My family is always needling one another and to know that it wasn't going to stop just because I'm a 'mo was a huge relief. He told me that he was cool with everything and that me being gay was just more ammo for him.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thios thread made my eyes water.....it is beautiful to have such acceptance,unconditional love among brothers and you guys are very fortunate indeed to have each other.When a sentiment is this evidently genuinely touching,it is wonderful to share.

You both are very lucky. I'm lucky also. My brother and I are really close.

Mitri was feeling particularly protective of me today

its hard for me to be anything less than solid and

well

he makes it easier for me to feel like the world wont fall apart on the days when i cant keep the hard edge going

I "LOVE" my only bro; but I don't "LIKE" him....

You see he was NOT a very loving son to our parents and would NOT keep in contact with them...

ALL they asked was for him to call them, just once in a while to let them know that he was OK....

He would NOT do this and to my Mom that was just the pits....

There also was many, many more family issues that I will not get into here; but trust me, he was NOT the brother/son of the year!

Indeed, it must be good to have the brother that supports you like these two do, and for Dru, this is especially good because of his diagnosis....

Can't help but wish that my Bro and I shared the same values as these two great guys!(*8*) (*8*) :kiss: :kiss:
