  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I am reading-studying Da Bible

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field. (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27)

Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. (Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that?

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10). I wonder if Dr. Laura would like that one to be enforced?

If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death. (Leviticus 20:11)

If a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death. (Leviticus 20:14)

If a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed. (Leviticus 20:15-16). I guess you should kill the animal since they were willing participants. Are they crazy?

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18 )

Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27)

If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18 )

Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community. (Leviticus 24:14-16)

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Lev. 17:11

"Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances." Lev. 18:2-3

"Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy." Lev. 19:2

There are your key verses, belamo. Now, relate the rest back to them. Get to work.

I wrote this on another message board a couple months ago ...

God has 42 kids mauled by bears just because a couple of them called Moses bald. Can you feel the love?

Like father, like son. Jesus kills children, or at least gets angry enough to threaten to do so. Chill out Jesus they're just kids!

Some things are even more important than being a good man, like having a cock and balls!

Being cowardly gets you an eternity of suffering in Hell! Murderers I can understand, but this is a bit harsh!

God thinks it's a brother's duty to knock up his sister-in-law! Fail to do so and you will be killed.

OK this is just gross...

This is even more disgusting. God, who apparently wrote the Bible, felt it necessary to explain that shit came out of this man who was slain. I bet they don't talk about this at Sunday School. I wonder why not?
I love your avatar: I keep that Joe Phillips image as one of my favorite downloads from the net... although it looks awkward in specular reversion

Yeah, that episode about Zipporah's (and Moses') son is even more confusing that gross: what the hell is supposed to mean that passage? I am not sure that the original Hebrew would clarify things much...

My favorite so far (I've just begun as you can see) is the part in which Moses is described as some sort of leprous outcast, and the translation render it as some Lullaby Gloworm or, after the Latin translation that inspired his image in Gothic art (Michelangelo included... if anybody is curious about how can somebody call Michey's sculpture Gothic, please send me a message) a cornuto.

Jesus Wept.

Another one of these threads.
Are you calling me "common"?

It's a book that has so fucked up people's minds, lives and history that you are forced to read in order to know precisely how it has been used to bring all that confusion, and how you can put it in its right place or, at least, to fight back those who use it as a weapon backing (and baking) their own agendas.
That's it.

Hear, Hear! Nearly perfectly stated in your perfectly broken English.

I was guessing, I've never bought a pair or had any reason to know how to spell the word. You on the other hand, Miss Thang, I'm sure you can teach me all about high-heeled shoes.
I cannot conceive you.
