'Wisdom'? Pray tell which thesaurus has 'idiocy' as a synonym of 'wisdom'?

I was particularly taken with the promise to personally rain down fire and brimstone on Turkey.

Do you remember the time he mentioned about 'destroying and obliterating' Turkey's economy? I remember his failed enterprises and bankruptcies, but no destruction and obliteration of another country's economy.

Well, to be fair, he's very good at bankrupting things.

^ And he always seemed to come out of them with more money in his pocket than when he went in.

Just wow.

The man is not right in the head (a medical term). As an outsider i find it to be telling that so many Republican senior members are still trying to defend him.

All right, we've arrived, we are officially living in Bizarro world. That is so... I don't even know.

Please read the Yahoo news article referenced above. Quotes from Lindsay Graham and Brett McGurk are notable. POTUS gives his critics SO much to work with. Streaming idiocy 24/7. He is admired by his base and hated by most anybody else for the same acting out behaviors. But now it is more clear than ever that this goof is really dangerous. Malignant narcissism exhibiting features of delusional megalomania. He is rendered incapable of empathy and his actions are increasingly impulsive and irrational.

Precisely why the Senate Republicans should be eager to convict him and remove him from office... he is becoming increasingly erratic and reckless. He has limited understanding and no judgment. He is unfit for office, he is melting down as impeachment hearings ramp up... he IS a national security threat in himself because he just reacts, he just does so much off the cuff. Everything hinges on how it effects him and how he is in the moment. This kind of tightrope walking presidency is untenable.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone, really. Trump had a decades-long reputation of business failures and bankruptcies and lawsuits before he even made it to prime-time television on a reality show. What he did to banks and financiers over the years, which did nothing more than put money in his pockets and leave a lot of people penniless and very often bankrupt themselves. He's doing the same thing now except he'd doing it with tax-payer money, a lot of which is still ending up in his pockets.

It's no wonder he's terrified of turning over his taxes.

I guess Herr Trumpenfuhrer really isn't all that great and powerful, since he's the victim of the century?

In an eight-page letter to House leaders, signed by White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Trump claims he’s being victimized by an “unauthorized impeachment inquiry that conflicts with all historical precedent and rides roughshod over due process and the separation of powers.”

The letter is, legally speaking, quite mad. One Georgetown law professor describes it as a set of “totally absurd legal arguments attempting to justify what is clearly contempt of Congress.” Harvard Law professor Lawrence Tribe calls its legal reasoning “utter and total garbage.” A lawyer who used to work in the Senate for Marco Rubio describes it as “a barely-lawyered temper tantrum” and “a middle finger to Congress and its oversight responsibilities.” Orin Kerr, a law professor at U.C. Berkeley, adds: “OK, now there’s a constitutional crisis.”

I wish his Orangeness would make up his mind. One day he is High Holy Trumpus, the chosen one, destroyer of worlds; then next day the mean girl is picking on him.

^ Until George Conway actually walks out the door and leaves his wife...the person who helps craft the TrumpCo. narratives he gets to criticize ....his words are empty.

I don't disagree with what he's saying....but I still think that the Conways are playing games with all of us.

Oh, so NOW the Constitution matters.

Actually no it doesn't, what they want is clearly, CLEARLY unconstitutional. Even the fake lawyers we get in here couldn't defend it. It's fucking batshit cray cray.

^ I just meant that Trump swore to uphold the Constitution and has been stomping it into the mud and using it for ass wipe since he took his hand off the Bible. Now that impeachment is in the works, the Constitution suddenly matters, even if it doesn't.

The lawyers who signed that letter need to have their credentials yanked.

^ Like that's going to happen. I'm sure Trump has lawyers for that.

But I have hope. The Feds got Capone and Gotti. And they're both dead.

So much damage has been done, people ruined, lost reputation, lost allies, people dead, kids in cages, concentration camps, treason, stupidity.

There is no just punishment for these people.

Dumpy on his own can just fuck things up. He can't really keep it together for sustained periods, like 2 hours....the rabid conservative ideologues he has given free rein ...men and women with a focus and purpose really tear things apart. People with an apparent grudge against the poor, minorities of all stripe. And all this in 3 years. Ben Carson hates public housing, as a glaring example. Steve Miller, a second generation Jew whose grandparent fled the holocaust through Ellis Island, is the source what passes for a policy on immigration....and seemingly supports Dumpy in his love of the Alt Right/Neo Nazis. (Pregnant pause...) Where's the sanity in that? Subtle and not so subtle destruction of anything that will help the old, the poor. Disenfranchisement is a goal. For perspective, the Nazi party was a 2% minority in the Reichstag in '28. By '33 Hitler was Chancellor with a majority in the legislature. Our Republic is melting away even faster. One more: Most of realize, but just in case....Rome was a Republic. The defeat of Antony and Cleopatra and the murder of Julius Caesar and the Senate granting his son Octavian the title of Augustus Caesar as the first Emperor of the Roman Empire....a position of absolute power, answering only to himself. And we know where that ended up. And there we go....Some people propose a Trump Dynasty. Things are going so well. Don Jr. has his flaws, but he's not bat shit nuts, which could prove worse.
