If you used butter, that's why. Use vegetable shortening instead.

Well, is the pb cookie recipe for a more crunchy cookie, or more chewy?

Either way, they simply must be rolled into a ball and pressed flat with a fork. They're not peanut butter cookies otherwise.

OMG, I just had the most orgasmic oatmeal cookie from this hots place two weeks ago!!


it's a really cool hots place, not a chain, and they had these homemade cookies, to die for!

Most people I know who grew up outside of the U.S. find peanut butter vile. I feel the same way about dipping french fries in mayonnaise, but apparently that is catching on more and more in the states.

Non-Americans tend to prefer the natural peanut butter over the uber-processed type that most Americans eat.

As for me, I'd say PB with chocolate chips as well. That combination rocks my little world.
