  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I bit the bullet and bought a new 'toy'.

I love it. Lots of storage space and a seat, if you get tired and need to sit for a few minutes. I may need to get one of those in the future as it is getting harder and harder for me to walk any distance. Anything that gives you the freedom of indepence is a wonderful thing. A very good buy indeed.

My Aunt's walker is what is allowing her to remain in her own home after breaking her hip at the age of 92.

It is the best thing for her balance and confidence.

Get some purple sex lights and racing stripes for yours, Neil.

^ Will they clash with the Pacific blue frame with the red and yellow reflectors that are attached?

Does the Canadian Health Care system help with the expense?

So you got the blue one, then? I like the red one, but that would be too 'splashy' for my taste.

^ Probably through my disability pension. I don't think the provincial health care system covers them. (Each province has its own system.) I'll be checking into it next week. Things like this tend to be a reimbursement rather than a purchase.

^I hope that works out well for you.

Be mindful that they may expect you to see a physical therapist for driving lessons, though. :)
