I cannot believe it's Thanksgiving already!

Happy Thanksgiving on Monday to our Canadian Jubbers! Hope it's a great day of food, family, remembrance and especially thanks for what you have however you observe it.

My apartment is filled from kitchen to bedroom with the wonderful aroma of roasting turkey.

Potatoes are peeled and diced and ready to be boiled. Baby carrots ready to be honey glazed. Creamed corn is still an option. Cranberries and rolls waiting patiently to be eaten. No gravy yet. It's still being manufactured. Oh, and home-baked cherry pie from the local farmer's market is already sliced and tempting me every time I go to the kitchen.

Just a few more hours, then yummy in my tummy time!

Woohoo! Same here! Mmmm. Potatoes! I do roast and mashed. No creamed corn, though that was a childhood staple. The kind of staple that goes right into the palm of your hand and requires a tetanus shot.

Best holiday mean I've ever made. Somehow, it worked out that everything was ready at the same time. Even the gravy.

Too full for dessert at the moment (my stomach isn't as big as it used to be), but when I finally get around to my cherry pie, I'll try to remember you.

(PS - Mince is a Christmas pie up here. Traditional Thanksgiving pies are apple or pumpkin.)
