Whenever I try to access my hard drive (C) on the Explorer, I get a message saying that the access is denied.
Could it be a virus?

Hey Noelie, how´s it going?
No, nothing opens. It just says the HD is not accessable. I will do that, run an antivirus and if does not work... format it.
Thanks!!!

I take it that the C drive is where you have Windows installed? Can you use the computer has normal? Can you open all of your programs? And can you access My Documents?

You're not using some sort of limited account are you? Also you could try on another user account or by creating a new account.

Yes, I can use the computer, and my documents ok, but it just doesn´t let me open the drive C.

Hunky, try restarting in safe mode (usually by pressing F8 shortly after turning on the power to your pc and selecting "safe mode with network support). See if you can access the C drive while you are in safe mode. It could be that some how your permissions got messed up...at least that is what it sounds like to me. Let us know if you can access it in safe mode.

Sounds like a permissions problem to me... Or some major hard drive problems... If you're still having problems, run a scandisk (schedule one, u'll need to restart for it to scan). Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > "Right Click" ( C: ) > "Select" Properties > "Select" Tools Tab > Check Now. Run a full scan, meaning check all the options, and select automatically fix errors and attempt recovery of bad sectors. See if that picks up an bad sectors, file system errors, or other abnormalities.

Are you using some sort of file share program like Morpheus........etc
It can open your system up to people
I was once and somehow I got access to my cd drive cut

I just did a system restore and it is working now.
I think it was ITunes. It started giving me problems right after I installed it, and with the system restore it erased this program it everything seems to work fine now.
Let´s see.
Thank you guys for all the attention!
(*8*)

Ya, those file share programs can really screw things up
There are alot of people that get really bitter and twisted about them

Glad to see it's working again. I've never heard of iTunes causing such a problem. Maybe the system restore got rid of something else as well.

While i have no love in my heart for fruit (that's Apples/Macs) i will say this, iTunes is, even for an apple product, one of THE WORST peices of software i've ever seen. From my experience with others, i wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole (3 meter pole for my metric friends :) ).

If I was still using Windows I would use iTunes over Windows Media Player anyday. On the Mac iTunes is just awesome. For those who are interested, something that looks promising is Songbird. It claims to be the Firefox for your media:
