  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I can't decide. I really can't.

I will go with extreme local chauvinism and I'll say pomegranate although I've never taste it and I don't like pomegranate taste very much.

The one with added Rasberry is awesome! It's even better than the original, it takes the sour taste away and leaves it a little sweeter.

With all the sugar in this, me and a friend used to get sooooo hyper in the lab :D

Just don't spill any on your new laptop's keyboard, gsdx!

Seriously, is that a joke or is it a wise thing to do? I've been very careful around it, but it seems to attract gunk like crazy.

At home I don't worry about it. But if I take my laptop outside, especially where there might be sand or dust bowing around, I lightly drape some clear plastic wrap over the keyboard. On most keyboards you don't dare stretch it tight, because one key ends up pulling down others. It makes typing a bit strange, but I'd rather put up with strange typing than get crud in the keyboard.

I once saw a cover made for that purpose, bit it was spendy and also for only one computer brand.

In general, most stuff that can get into a keyboard (like Bammer's hair!) can be blown out with air. If you know someone who works at an electronics shop that has its own (dehydrated) compressed air source, you might be able to go by once a month and just blow it out.

I can't remember if the sugar is added or natural but there is alot.

You can also buy cans of compressed air to clean your keyboard and internal components from various shops.

I Googled it yesterday and discovered that laptops often have air vents hidden beneath the keys. Covering the keyboard with plastic wrap could overheat the laptop.

If you put the wrap over the keys and you can see them being suctioned down, remove the wrap immediately.

I've never seen that -- another reason for not making it tight, I guess... probably the BEST reason. I'll have to test my new one before using it outdoors.
