I can't stop crying....

Update...

So I did wear a patch over the eye; I looked more like a thug than Bond villain, but at least I got through dinner. As soon as the event was over, I went to emerg and made sure there was no significant damage. Got some antibiotic drops, had a very uncomfortable night and slept with one eye open in case she decided that it had been a very effective way to get me to leap from the bed....although she had received a pedicure yesterday as well.

I'm thinking I may have her do my catarct removals someday when I'm old though. She certainly has surgical aptitude.
