I had heard they planned to do all 7 books, has anyone heard if they will film the scenes with Lucy, Peter, and Edmond for book 7 now or will they wait till they are 30 and look nothing like themselves as kids?
The Harry Potter kids are not only getting too old they stupidly let Daniel cut his hair which makes him look even older.
If they do A Horse and his boy, they could use other actors cos the kids will be older, maybe the ones who played them as adults in the first book?

Given the current international political climate...I'm not so sure Horse and His Boy or The Last Battle will be made.

Also, Princ Caspian isn't the next book is it?

Either way, I don't think all 7 will be made.

It doesn't really matter how old the kids get because their characters aren't in all of the books...or they aren't all the same age in the books.

^ Which is something I liked about the series. You got to see all the characters act outside of the dynamic of other characters.

BTW, if anyone's interested, there was a great short story written by Neil Gaiman (Anansi Boys, The Sandman series) that was sort of an epilogue concerning the fallen Pevensie child: Susan. It's called "The Problem of Susan". It's a great read and I have it, so if anyone wants me to upload the scans, just say the word.

If they do all seven books, I will eagerly await The Magician's Nephew, as it's my favorite

My favorite is The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe...although I'm not a big fan of the books either way.

I had never heard of Narnia before until I saw the trailer for the movie...then I did some research and read the book. I was disappointed...I don't understand the fuss ! The books are just...ok, nothing that special, in my opinion. I thought the books were like Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings or something, cos on E! they showed interviews of the director and the actors, and the ALL said how excited they were to be playing in such an amazing story and that this is their favorite book etc....And I was like, "What's all the fuss ?! The book wasn't that interesting anyway !"...

I went and saw the movie just for the amazing trailer and hoped it would be better than the book (plus, William Moseley is SOOOOOOOOOO cute !) and I was VERY pleasantly surprised ! Andrew Adamson is a real genius ! I loved the movie !!!! He took this so-so book and transformed into an amazing movie...this guy has vision !

I hope he does the same with Prince Caspian !

Yes they are producing the films completely out of sync with the series. While Lion Witch Wardrobe is the most popular it is not the first of the series, just, correct me if I am wrong, the first published. I think "The Magician's Nephew" was printed second, but is the first book in the series. Once again correct me if I am wrong.

I have one of the older prints and Magician's Nephew is #6.

Although the events in that book happened before anything else in the series, you're not supposed to read it first. It would be like watching Star Wars I, II and II before IV, V and VI

No, The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe was the first one he wrote, then Prince Caspian, Voyage of The Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse And His Boy, The Magician's Nephew and the Last Battle.

But they reorganized them in chronological story order and then it was Magician, Lion/Witch, Horse, Prince, Voyage, Silver Chair, Last Battle.

They're going by the order he wrote them in.

I think a the Silver Chair was my favorite, just because I liked the Green Witch. But The Last Battle was just hitting me over the head way too much...

When i was a kid i read the book but the movie was awful! hope they don't make another.

Voyage Of The Dawn Treader was my favorite. But I agree, The Last Battle was a bit much.

Well, IMDB has already revealed that Prince Caspian is next, followed by Dawn Treader. Guess the movie company sees the logic of getting all the shots of Edward, Lucy, Peter and Susan first before they grow too old. Of course we all know that Peter and Susan will not be in the 3rd movie.
