Did you give up on your dreams, perhaps you fulfilled them all ?

I remember 15 or so years ago i found this book in a second hand shop and it was all about just taking off on your own to see the world, and it was more of a mind treat than anything else as it mentioned hitchhiking everywhere and sleeping in barns in the French countryside, all very idyllic and bloody dangerous thinking about it now, but the wonderlust stayed with me and years later i got to some of those far off places by trains planes and boats,

Did you follow your teenage dreams ?

Thank god there are Peter Allen fans here!

My friends back in college used to talk about me because I love songs about the path not taken, what might have been.

Wow, from 1979!

I'd heard the name many years ago but never checked him out, i came across him while watching Olivia Newton John vids, isn't he amazing.

If you ever needed proof of how diverse the musical landscape was in the 1970's, listen to, "I Could've Been A Sailor". The orchestration was as rich as any from a concert hall and all his songs meld perfectly with his voice. He lived with another man for ten years but kept his private life private.

My dreams were beyond my reach and kept getting put off, but when I look back at my life I realize that in a lesser way I did reach them part way.

I'm like the dolly in Rudolph "I haven't any dreams left to dream"

My early teenage dream was to play guitar and sing in rock/punk/metal bands.

I did, all through my late teens to my mid-twenties, then I realised that I really hated gigging and playing live, so I stopped.

I still write, record and play music for my own amusement but I've never had the urge to perform live during the past 35 years or so.

Tomorrow, we shall both be dead, my dear Prince...

Nope. Still working on 'em.

Yes. I had a Ph.D. at 25 and a long, successful career teaching literature in a first-rate university.

I never thought about it before but I guess I have pretty much lived my dream.

Oh yeah - love Peter Allen.
