Okay guys i know its a small step but i came out to my sister. she was totally cool w it!! i dont think i will ever have the courage to come out to my mom, i guess im just a coward =(. i feel a lil light headed but i also have a huge burdan off my chest. she was the first person in my family i have told.

Congrats! Now, maybe coming out to others will be easier.

Yay, Kenny! Good for you!

After a while, you'll be comfortable with your sister, and you'll actually want to come out to more people. Maybe not your mom right away, but other people; and it will build your confidence. Hopefully someday, yes, even your mom.

But you gotta take small steps before you jump, and you did it just fine! Congrats!

Yay kennnneeee, yay kennneee.

Way to go. It is a first step to having an open and honest relationship with the rest of your family.

Congrats.

I'm very happy for you. It's great having that relief that you are accepted by a loved one. You have courage. Bravo!

congrats and read the several threads below you with similar experiences and read how finally coming out to their mom wasn't as bad as they had thought.

Congratulations! Having acceptance from a loved one is a real confidence booster, ain't it? It's always nice to have someone who's opinion you value reinforce good feelings about your lifestyle. Right on! : D

G'luck with everything else you pursue. : )

Read my thread.

I thought it would be a horrible experience coming out to my religious family but in the end all they wanted was me to be honest with them. Maybe yours will be the same way, you'll never know until you actually tell them.

I gained the confidence by telling a few friends, then it went to the family. Now i'm completely out. It feels that much better once you tell everyone because you no longer carry that secret with you. Believe me. :)

I wish you luck on when you come out. I hope yours is as drama free as mine was.

Damn good for you buddy... (!)..|..|
That is a huge step.
And man, don't call yourself a coward... after all you did tell you sister.

Just take it one step at at time man.. you will be fine in the long run, I now that for a fact.

Congratulations!! You are not a coward, give yourself some credit!!! It is a big first step you took. I didn't think I would have the courage either, but after telling the first person, it just seemed to get easier after that. Give yourself some time.
