I don't like being touched.....wtf?

EternalLove.............gotta ask.........do you come from a family where hugging and such just wasn't done?
Maybe you need to learn to like it..............

My family didn't have the "love" emotion. They're all screwed up. Drugs, KKK, prostitutes, drug dealers... BAD.

Dear EternalLove!!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you not wanting

to be touched! some people don't like being touch

unless is for a good reason; like on your Birthday, a

family gathering on special occasions, or when you

feel you need one! so sweety don't worry so much

about it.

Leandro

Aww, that was a sweet "letter" Thanks. (*8*)

Now I think we're coming closer to the heart of your issues. I think that the entire persona you've constructed is a reaction against your upbringing and family environment. I stand by my advice to you in previous threads.

While Leandro and others are trying to be supportive, I suspect that all they're doing is validating your disassociative appraoch to affection and sexuality.

Good luck in working out some of these issues.

If you're able to identify that your family didn't have the "love" emotion, then it really might be useful to check out some counseling. Now, if you want to continue your life feeling "Untouchable", then that's OK--if that's what you *want*. If you begin to feel like you're missing out on some important stuff, then you're probably going to need to be active in working through, and it will probably take working with another person.

I've had some issues like that (although not to the degree you describe). It's gotten better. I'm glad it has.

You need to accept who you are. Explore your subconscious

EternalLove, do you think you could identify yourself as asexual?

Here's a description from http://www.asexuality.org/

The biggest misunderstanding about asexuality is that asexuals cannot feel any kind of romantic feelings towards other people. That is not true. They can feel romantic feelings and identify themselves as straight, gays, or bisexuals (at least some of them) but they lack the sexual need to touch, to have sex, and so on...

I know this subject is widely unaccepted, and people seem to try and find answers from issues such as childhood molestation and so on, but some people really do not feel sexual attraction which to sexuals seem so necessary.

There's an active forum on that site ("enter community" - I've read it once in a while out of curiosity), maybe you could check it out?

Wow I really could possibly be asexual, how else could I go this long without sex! and seriously not feel like I need it at all.

But I like touching.

Oh and you dont have to remain celibate, haven't you seen that movie 40 days and 40 nights when Josh hartnett gets that girl off without even touching her? try that. haha
well maybe that will only work with a girl... so you might be SOL
