where/who is the server and where/who is the host ?

Is ISP the host ?
 
The internet can be best thought of as a giant network.

The ISP is the point of service that provides you access to the internet via modems, routers, and such;

Whereas, the actual data, or content of the internet, is what resides on hosts, or servers. This is what you see as the pieces of the backbone.

the question was what is a host, isp, a server and the backbone? shown on the diagram
 
that diagram is not really useful to explain that. also that diagram is kinda stupid ;)

anyway .. the isp is already marked, a host or server would be the same as any user in this diagram.
