Here is how I see it. And If some feel offended.. let me know.

I'm tired of being called part of the LGBT agenda.

WAT THE HELL does someone being transgender have to do with me being gay? Why are we all classified in the same category? I love my penis! I tell someone I am gay and they ask if I'm a woman trapped in a man's body. It pisses me off because they think that due to the trans community being stuck with my category of just being gay. I can't change being gay.. it's who I am.

Now its ridiculous when these trans men.. women.. watever they are they are born with a penis thats all I know. And THEN they go on about how they wanna get surgery because they feel trapped as the wrong gender. Well that doesn't make sense to me.. So if I like Hip-Hop and watch Oprah and Montel that means maybe its time I get plastic surgery to change my race like Micheal Jackson? Even if I feel like an African American trapped in the body of a white boi? Trust me many people are unhappy with their body so you solve it by having your body artificially altered for your own sake of having low self-esteem.

Some men are REALLY feminen.. but they aren't born a woman inside. We hold ideas of how a woman feels because society TEACHES us that girls are supposed to wear dresses, like pink, listen to Barbra Streisand, etc. Please if Society taught that it was normal for men to sometimes be flamboyant and simply be gay... there would be ABSOLUTELY NO label of being transgender. As for having a penis and wanting a vagina... I think you need to be happy with what you are and be yourself.. not running off to have COSMETIC SURGERY which is not necessary. Someone who has that low self esteem that isnt happy with them self should get a therapist. I sound very hateful but I am brainstorming my mind and my frustrations. Why should my gay community be labeled as trans gender?

Like it was mentioned already...the best way to understand someone or a specific group of people...is talk to them. Ask them questions, your doubts, the things you don't understand. Be honest about your perceptions so that they can answer accordingly. Listen to them and learn...

;)

Why does it piss you off? I would just say, "Nope, I'm just a gay guy.. or a man sexually attracted to other men.'' and that's all.

and about trans people, not sure if it applies to all but I heard a trans talking once and he/she said she hated her penis when she had one, she was disgusted by it and didn't want to even touch it. I'm sure you don't have that problem, now is it mental or really how they explain it, nobody can know unless you're trans so..

So... that guy wanted to be or is now a lesbian?

How come when ignorant people decide that since we're X, we must be like Y...that our first reaction is to get mad at Y?

So some numbnuts thinks that because you're gay, you want to be a girl. He's wrong. End of story. And I'm sorry that transgenders and transsexuals are causing you so much grief by existing, because gee, if they didn't exist, your idiot friend wouldn't make the mistake of thinking you were one of them. Maybe if you didn't exist, strangers would stop thinking I must like Cher because I'm gay.

"OK let's be open here...The problem with trannies is that it they are too dramatic and scarier than just being gay. People may accept gays today but trannies are like Frankenstein on steroids in the eyes of average people including me."

Sorry, gonna be laughing about this one for awhile.

You've been watching too much fictional television. And, let the record reflect that some heteros say the EXACT same thing about gays. Those heteros aren't right, and neither are you.

Are you seriously going to tell me that a guy wearing a wig and a dress with a penis who behaves like a woman is not scary to an average person? How does a tranny compare to an average gay guy in appearances?

Do you not realize that lots of people are scared of those that they can't directly identify w/? Are terrified of those who aren't exactly like themselves? Come on!

It might be difficult to understand if you never met one or talked with one. Human sexuality is a broad spectrum of orientations. I as a gay male does not fully understand what it means to be bi, hetero or trans but I accept each one as an individual. I get that there are many individuals who do not fit in nice little boxes with a specific label. I say open up your mind to all possibilities and seek to understand that different is neither better or worse than your particular situation or orientation. If we learn to understand each other we would have a better world.

For the record it is no longer LGBT, it is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, and Questioning.

Pfffttt, you forgot the "I" for intersexed. I learned that one during our protest rally. ;)

I love your username by the way!

Are you telling me a guy who wants to stick his dick into another guy's asshole isn't scary to the average person? Or is that cool because, y'know, you do it?

Are you serious?

Or just trying to flame the boards?

The "T" in GLBT is for "Transgender."

You got that much right, and not much else.

It has more to do with "gender identity" than it does mannerisms, or sexual preference.

They're included within the acronym that defines our community because of the same stereotypes that you yourself have presented in your post here.

I've met many members of the Transgender community, and and if there's any "cosmetic surgery" it's an attempt to correct what they see as a wrong.

It has nothing to do with sex, or sexuality, but more to with with which gender that they most indentify with.

If you're offended of being a part of the GLBT community because of the "T" imagine how they feel being subjugated to the misunderstanding presented here by those who feel the way that you've presented yourself to the rest of the other letters within that acronym.

You, respectfully, need to stop allowing "society" to define who you are and associate with, strap on a pair, and recognize that we are a diverse community of members.

It only serves the purposes of those who wish to divide us, than it does, what we as members have in common.

Clue: The world isn't as "black & white" as it appears.

Ohh so I was on right track. Pretty much the same thing then.

buzzzz!

Sorry!

Have a box of Rice-O-Roni the ultimate 1970's consolation prize for contestants who didn't win, but weren't allowed to go home empty handed!

Transgendered = Identifying as a gender that they weren't born with.

Transexual = used to refer to a transgender person who actually lives as a person of their non-natal sex.

Transvestite = Wearing woman's clothing that's often ill fitting, but turns them on sexually.

Here's another clue, "tranny" is just as offensive a term as "faggot" is to the rest of us. ..|

No, that's transvestite.

OK let's be open here. LGB historically is no different than being a T. All are considered abnormal people with confused sexuality. We are just lucky enough that decades of lobbying and political activism removed homosexuality from medical literature as abnormal psychology. Believe me there are doctors today who still theorize that homosexuality just like being transgendered is abnormal psychological condition.
The problem with trannies is that it they are too dramatic and scarier than just being gay. People may accept gays today but trannies are like Frankenstein on steroids in the eyes of average people including me.

Please seek help.

How come you have the opportunity to be who you are and they cant? What if you were forced to be straight? You'd know what they feel like

Well if i'm wrong inform me. How is someone getting surgery to change their different then someone feeling they are a black man trapped in a white guy's body and getting his race changed? I have friends who are transgender and one wants to become a woman. I saw it as an issue because all he talks about is that one issue and I can never talk about anything else to just be friends and get to know him to the point where I can see him at my level without judging him. To me it feels like hes coping with an obsession. Its no different to me then someone struggling with anorexia and is constantly worrying about their weight.

No, I'm not offended. You are asking to be educated. Perhaps I can offer my perspective? Not that what I think will change your mind. Never-the-less, let's take your points one by one.

1. " I'm tired of being called part of the LGBT agenda."

Me too. What is the "agenda?' The "agenda" is too varied to pin it down.

2. " WAT THE HELL does someone being transgender have to do with me being gay?

Nothing. You are gay. Tranies are tranies. It's different.

Go ahead, love your penis. It's a beautiful thing. That you don't want it chopped off/turned inside out is ok. That there are those out there that can't identify with their physical make-up and want it to be different is ok too.

Oh, fuck, I'm exhausted trying to explain to you what's up. As if what I had to say would make a difference to you. You are well ensconced in your beliefs. And you are 19. Get back to me once you've experienced life.

Live and let live. Blah, blah, blah!

united we stand
divided we fall

you know what we have in common.

we all (LGBT) get fucked around by society for being who we were born to be.

It is difficult for someone who is not going through it to understand it. There's a reason your friend is so obsessed with it. You would be too if your entire life you literally felt like you were in the wrong body.
