  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I don't understand trans-gender/Transsexuals!

Pfffttt, you forgot the "I" for intersexed. I learned that one during our protest rally. ;)

I love your username by the way!
Finally, we got a vowel! a couple more, and we might
1)have a pronounceable acronym or
2)be able to solve the puzzle!
I'd like to buy another vowel, please.

Are you seriously going to tell me that a guy wearing a wig and a dress with a penis who behaves like a woman is not scary to an average person? How does a tranny compare to an average gay guy in appearances?

Raptor, you're completely uninformed on the subject; and a lot of people on this thread are close behind you. Or even ahead of you.
But most of society is similarly uninformed.

To everyone:
If you're gay, it's because your brain is a little different from other guys'.
Transexualism refers to a broad spectrum of neurologically-based conditions.
It also may mean that the genitals most of us take for granted are different. Sometimes profoundly different.
That's the way it is with some citizens.

How can life be a little kinder?
Well, I hope the equality we seek extends to those who need it even more than we do.
Towards a political basis on the subject, we should demand that transexuals be better understood by the larger society.
Although what they suffer is usually much more severe than what we go through, we should enable ourselves to express that both of our conditions is simply a result of Nature doing what Nature does.

And Cher: I hope you get something out of each person's post. But I also recognize that a lot of your question is simply curiosity/not-knowing. Well, there's Wikipedia...

OH! and there are also some great posts up there!!!! ..| :-)

THANK YOU! But would you want people grouping you with other nationalities? I don't wanna be grouped with trans genders not because I hate them.. its because they do not have anything to do with me being gay. I fight for gay rights and when i march for pride They make the trans-community a part of it

well, being transgendered is gay..in a wierd twisted kind if way..but nonetheless gay..

Im the same I cant understand at all how a guy couldl want to have his cock cut off and get smelly cunt BUT

I DONT HAVE TO UNDERSTAND ANYMORE THAN A STR8 HAS TO UNDERSTAND ME LIKING GUYS

Also ive had a bit of experience (no not sexual the trannie attraction str8 guys have i cant understand either) or might have seen more or it differently.

Dads a doctor and was asked about this over lunch once, he said very firmly that it is purely a genetic thing, like anything else such as having an ugly head or small cock (I think he said ur hair colour) and also the big majority of them dont tart aroud the gay scene but life often out of the citry and are very quiet.

Note he is also the countries acknowledged expert on trannies not by wanting to be but just happened, he also was one of the first to see gays with hiv when docs were rejecting them. Additionaly its not something he advertises and hardly puts a letter after his name. TN TRANNIE SPECIALIST

He also said he has been asked to contribute to medical journals heaps of times and not wanted to be quoted or named, same by newspapers etc as he told me that most trrannies are very private people and it even seeing thier doctors name in print would lower thier view and trust in him. Oh and drunk once he said how he hated stickign a finger up a cunt more than anytrhing haha

We had tyrannie cleaners all my life growing up no wonder im bent - I eventually wondered about Suzannes deep voice, he ability to lift a sofa with one hand and vacuum under and her diffictulty balancing on heels being 6'6 tall. She was also very kind and caring more than 99% of gay dickheads you would meet.

Another cleaner helped me with the computer once, ended up pulling it apart and stuff while talking about her awful apprenticeship which again had me lost. She ended up re wiring our house cos she was an electrician! Think about a solid muscly looking woman in a dress on a ladder with a power drill haha

Well I understand what you're saying though you did it a bit harsh. It is a bit unfair to put lesbians,g ay, bisexuals , and transgenders all together. I have very little in common with and T and the L, and even the B. I'm just G. many of us have more in common with straights than L or T

I don't fully understand trans-people either. It is a bit hard for me to understand why someone would feel a need to dress/act like what I consider more of a feminine stereotype, not necessarily the female "nature". I'm a bit puzzled by that.

I did however meet a really famous (in Norway) transgendered man and his wife, both dressed as women, a little while ago. I must say that, despite me not understanding the whole thing, it didn't take long to adjust. It felt natural after a short while (and who says it isn't natural?). It's just a matter of being comfortable with being yourself and other people being their own selves.

No one should have a problem with accepting without questioning. It's just a matter of opening up and not letting yourself be distracted by your preconceptions. I think the T in the LGB should stay as is. Come on, such a small part of the population as the transgendered presumably are need the extra support they can get. And where else to get that support than from a part that has been and still is, to a certain extent, on the sideline?

Cher, go on youtube and watch some documentary stuff on trannies.

I think you have a very misunderstood opinion on them. It's a medical condition. It's not just an extreme form of being gay or feminine. Hell, some trannies are butch....

It's a little deeper than you might think.

Firstly, transgendered individuals have won acceptance and respect in many communities because they know how to make friends, build relationships, and give and receive loyalty.

When I first came out and hit the clubs, I was "snatched" by a clique of glamorous, black drag queens who recognized me from the neighborhood. They befriended me, introduced me to many cute and masculine guys, who were part of their clique, and helped me to build confidence and cultivate my own identity. The transgendered are not "scary" people, once you get to know them.

Secondly, many would argue ALL gays men are transgendered, to some extent, as many experts believe the mechanism, which causes homosexuality in males, has to do with some female-centric wiring of the sexual responses in the lower reigions of the brain. In other words, even the most masculine appearing gay men have a "chick brick" embedded deep int heir skulls.

Gay and transgendered? Not identical conditions, but similar. That's why we're lumped together along with our shared history.

And don't forget, the transgendered fought for our rights back in 1969.

Could we PLEASE stop using the word "tranny"? That term is generally considered offensive by trans people.
