A few things really helped me in that area:

Practice -- first few times, it must be nerves. Just didn't play out as I hoped.

Masturbation -- seriously helps if I hadn't -- at least not that day.

Time of day -- early morning fuck is no problem for me. Later in the day when I'm more tired, I don't have the same stamina.

Exercise/Weight Loss -- I lost a LOT of weight since my partner an I got together and I exercise a lot more regularly. Both helped far more than I would have expected. It really is a lot easier when you don't have a bit of a tummy in the way.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but I'll try and add my 2 cents.

First, you need complete cooperation from your partner. If he's new, he'll be a bit tense and I don't care how big your dick is, if he tenses up, ain't NO dick gonna get in there!

One thing I learned (as being a bottom), is that if you (the bottom) push out a bit, just as if you're trying to take a dump, then your sphincter muscle will relax and be able to accept entry much easier.
