Damn parallel parking. I messed it up even though I always did it good. I feel so mad, but that's what I get for forgetting to say my morning prayer to satan, it always messes up the rest of my day.

ARGHHH GRRRRRRR i am furious i want to throw bombs on anti gay crowds during a Belgrade gay pride grrrrrrrrrrrrr
 
I've been driving for months hun but it's annoying since i have to hide it from certain people so I can't do it all the time.
 
Don't feel TOO BAD...

There are a lot of people that have had their license for YEARS and STILL can't parallel park... :lol:

How long do they make you wait until you can take the test again???
 
I am surprised that you are required to parallel park in an US driving test :P

Well I found another school where one only has to wait a week so it's all good.
I still feel bad though. This helps.

I failed once....

I failed twice....

I failed three times....

And I was irritated and fed up, and I just wanted to forget the whole thing. And I couldn't parallel park either. It was one of three designated manouvers, a random two of which you were asked to perform on the day of the test. I tried again. My last outing with the instructor before my next test, and I STILL couldn't parallel park.

And on the day of the test, by pure luck, I was asked to do the two OTHER manouvers (three-point turn, and reversing around a corner) and NOT the parallel parking.

And I passed on the fourth time. (!)

So keep trying, keep practising, and have patience. ..|

And no thanks, I don't buy serbian products hun. Not that Croats are any less retarded than serbs. But we are significantly less evil.
 
In California at least, I'm pretty sure they no longer make you parallel park. They'll make you pull up to a curb and reverse in a straight line, and they'll fail you if you hit the curb, but I think that's really as difficult as it gets. I think I missed 2/14 when I took it. Just because I drove too close to the cars in front of me. :grrr:
 
If I lived in Boston I wouldn't want to drive. The traffic is horrible.
 
Do you know how to parallel park or do you just wing it? Just wondering. I had an awesome instructor that taught me how to park perfectly every time and I still have yet to hit the curb.
 
I learned to parallel park in a huge boat...a giant 70s Chevy. I could park that tank.

I can NOT parallel park my Ford Focus. It's easy to get it into the parking spot...but I can't for the life of me get it to end up straight and parallel to the curb.

(of course pulling off straight has always been a problem for me) ;)
 
I can parallel park pretty well, but I usually just opt to find a regular parking spot instead - because what usually happens is that while I'm away from my car (shopping, dining, or whatever) the person in front or behind me leaves. Someone then pulls into that parking spot later, and parks SO close to my car that I find it nearly impossible to get out of the spot when I'm ready to leave.
 
Instead of worrying so much about parking, they should start checking to see if people can actually drive! Most accidents occur while driving, not parking.
 
ive failed both of my tests by one mistake, both of them when turning back into the dmv lot.
 
Are US driving tests as much of a joke as Canadian ones tend to be?
 
mine was a part of the class i took in high school. they graded us on it, but as long as we did it until we got it there wasnt an issue.
