Today on the 19th of November of 2010, I broadcasted to the world that I am indeed bisexual!!!!

Congratulations! :=D: ..|

Who'd you tell? How'd it go?

Details, details.

I told everyone! My whole family, my coworkers, and every person I know on Facebook.

Wow, you came out with gusto!

Congrats! :kiss:

What were people's reactions? Anyone particularly good or bad?

Well most reactions were positive even from people who I don't talk to hardly ever and those who I felt would react badly. A good majority didn't say anything. The one and only negative comment was from my Dad... no surprise there lets put it that way...

Good job. And not to offend you or anything but are you REALLY bisexual, or are you just saying that because it helps you feel more personally comfortable with being gay? Because I've seen a lot of "bisexual" men do that. In other words, is this legit or are you just saying that to try and get acceptance from two different types of people?

You're not "bisexual" if you say that men drive you wild sexually but you want a loving relationship with a woman. You are gay and conflicted honey. =) And you're just beating yourself up and not letting yourself have the loving relationship that you deserve! You can have your cake and you can eat it too!

If you are simply bisexual, then ignore this.

Sorry to hear about your father; that's the way things go sometimes, unfortunately. He may come around. He may not. Education is your best tactic with him.

Congrats again. You must be ecstatic! :gogirl: :kiss:

Yes. This is the question everyone wants to hear when they came out as bi.

Seriously, just be happy for the guy.

@Mitch04
Congrats! You look really hot so either girls or guys will come your way in no time (!)

Yup I couldn't agree more. That statement kind of took me down a bit.

I don't know, maybe the world is moving too fast for me, but I always thought this kind of thing would be done in private, at least for a few select folks.

Why?

Does it help to let only a few people know? Does it create opportunities to keep people in the dark? Does it make you feel free?

Au contraire! Let the world know, and good things come to you!

Congratulations Mitch!

I wish you good health and much happiness!

I did let a few people know in private. Family and close friends I told in person. I wasn't going to go around and individually tell everyone else. The joys of modern technology and online networking make things easy and simultaneous.

Congrats on the big step! I want to start off by telling people on Facebook too but I have been hacked by many of my friends posting my status as "I'm Gay" and no one takes it seriously cause it happens to almost all my friends lol. Guess I'm going personal :)
