When I was a kidm I didnt think about pulling legs off daddy long legs but I think tiwce about it now.
I remember a BBC news article from years back which found that spiders DON'T actually die when you wash them down drains. They float and can catch the side of the drainpipe after the water is all past away, and can eventually crawl back up.
That's why they suddenly appear in baths and sinks in the first place. They can survive in the drains.
So you're absolved of your sins Telstra.![]()
I think it'd depend on the spider. If you know a spidey is harmless, then why bother killing it. I always catch them and put them outside cos i know the worst thing that could happen is that it gets back in (no dangerous spideys here).
Also, spiders kill wasps which scare the hell out of me, and they kill flies which are filthy creatures.
In fairness, i think Australia is the one country in the world where spider-killing is truly worth doing! You have way too many nasty ones.
It could be that my impression is all wrong, but its so bad that i have zero desire to ever step foot on aussie soil. I'm way too scared of YOUR spiders, the ones here are at least just ugly looking, they don't tend to bite let alone be a threat.
