4. you will see you picture as a link (it is now in the attachments section of jub) click on the link and copy the address. Close that window.
5. click on the image icon (it's a yellowish button with a tiny landscape) and paste the address that you have copied in #4, and

Voilà!

Where is the link? where is the window?

What is an image icon? And then paste the adress? Paste the adress? That sounds like downright porn.

All I do that someone taught me (I think it was Metta - Thanks, Metta!!) if the pic is from a website, then right-click it, and select the "open in a new tab" option, so that a new webpage opens up with just the pic on it - nothing else. Then you copy the link from there, and in the JUB text box, click the picture icon (the yellow landscape one), and paste the link in that prompt. Works every time.

A slightly quicker version, if web page allows you, is to right click the image, click the option that says something like "Copy image location" or "copy image link"

so you copy the link without opening a new tab. but the problem is when websites disable the right clicking.

I didn't think it was difficult for people to put tags. See what happens when editor mode is all screwy, people have to rely on the code YET there are buttons above that automatically put the tags on there for you. You click the image and you just paste the link in there.

Many sites do not like when you are hot linking like that and will take measure to make sure it is impossible to hot link to their pics... What I suggested is fools proof... You image will load, and it will not be deleted until you have reach your limit of attachment on JUB (about 500 Mb, I think).

Well, I have the nicest quick fix for your conundrum: DO NOT POST PICTURES ON JUB

You are saying posting an attachment is too much time spent, rather than going on Google images and hotlinking it from the website when there is a 70% chance of the image not working? When you upload the image as an attachment it will work 100%.

That's why most people's pictures never show up because they are uploading it to Imageshack or Photobucket and those websites reject JUB so most of the time when the image displays fine for the poster it doesn't for others because it was denied from displaying on the boards.

Have it your way, but I can predict that many of your pictures won't appear for the rest of us. But I guess this is not really important for you. It certainly not very important for me...
