I guess no one cares about leaks of classified documents

Leaks can get results.
Wasn't it "Deep Throat's" leaks that eventually led to Nixon's resignation?
If a leak endangers our troops or our population in general, it shouldn't be made public.
However if the leak exposes corruption, treason and any number of other illegal issues, the people have the right to know.
We have the right to know who to elect or re-elect based on their total performance; not just select, positive campaign winning propaganda.

Dems have no real position on Iraq. Their big position is "the President lied to us. If he hadn't "we wouldn't authorized". That is blame, not forward thinking what to do now. You may hate "stay the course" and I think it is an awful moniker but it's better than "there were no WMD's" or "we have to leave". If they took my advice, they would have been hibernating for about a year or so, definately the next month or so - not open their mouths - cause they are divided with most of the hot air coming from unelectable/unlikeable/screaching partisans. Instead, there are many wondering why we should let them get their shot. And that's my opinion

I have never bought this "the Dems need a position on Iraq" argument. The Republicans certainly don't have a position on Iraq, unless you call "support the President" or "stay the course" a position, and even then there are plenty of dissenters, Hagel, McCain, Snowe, etc.

Regardless of how well the Dems do, they will not control the White House and can't control the course of the war.

Dems are individuals, running in individual states and districts and have individual approaches to the war. The best argument for a Dem Congress is that they will ask questions and perform oversight that the Republicans have failed to do.

I can't give you directions worth a darn if I don't know where you are!

Keep everything secret, and blame the other guy for not knowing what's up.

Make a great big old mess, then expect the other guy to clean it up blindfolded.

Move out of the way. I won't know exactly what I have to do until I get in there and see just exactly what kind of a disaster you've left.
