We're glad - as I'm sure you are - that you live in a country (Canada) with a relatively good public healthcare system
I'm in Australia, where we have something similar
I had NO symptoms - just a very good doctor - who sent me for a heart CT scan, as a precaution, due to a long list of annoying chronic conditions
Seems they found minor calcification in one of the two coronary arteries (AKA hardening of the arteries)
Just what caused this is a bit of a mystery - being a bit of a dietary 'health nut' - (though a lifetime of smoking probably didn't do me any favours)
So I'm off to hospital radiology department on Friday for a two hour long set of cardio 'stress tests' to see how the condition 'affects things'
They tell me not to worry, just yet - but, well, you know how it is
