I've never understood why people go insane for this show.

The only parts I ever found mildly entertaining are the auditions when the judges rip apart the idiots who think they can sing, and many of those are most likely staged.

Yesterday one of my cousins was voting non stop for one of the guys. It was kind of funny to me. Then I log on here and see countless threads on this. Is that really necessary? Can't you people just use one big thread to discuss this stupid show?


American Idol sucks, and while I'm at it so do The Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montanah, High School Musical, The Disney Channel, Britney Spears and Zac Effron.

All I was going to watch was tonight to see who won. But some dick head killed it by posting the results in a thread title.
 
I love it when people act as though hating anything popular and mainstream makes them cooler/wiser/more aware than everyone else who enjoys those things.

Popular entertainment is wasted on the snarky.

I like stuff that's popular and mainstream. Just not the crap.

I like American Idol cause I like cover tunes and karaoke. I karaoke often and I've liked cover tunes and karaoke since way before AI came out. I also like musical shows, my rents raised me on musical variety shows (think about it, how many variety shows do they have now) and even Solid Gold. Now that it's back en vogue, people think it's a new thing. it definately is not. might not change your view on it, but at least it'll help you understand why some people like it.
 
I have never watched the show myself as well. But I wanted to watch tonight cause I wanted to see Liza I mean Adam sing.

Not to be a rude guest, but I don't really like the mac. nut kind that you offered the boys. The chocolate oatmeal kind are my favorite. If it's not to much trouble. And vanilla ice cream...if you already have some.
 
i guess i don't hate idol, but i just don't get the craze!!! same with Dancing....and Survivor.

i did have to chuckle though, when i saw the spoiler thread. i knew some of you were gonna freak the hell out!!!
