  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I hate the way some straight men dress

And back alley vag.

Better fetaby? ;)

Yes, but now I would like to point out the contradictory nature of comparing back alley vag to douche bag smells. It seems that would only work if the douche bag was full and not used... :rotflmao:

Who the F is Ed Hardy, anyway?

Evidently I missed the memo.

I actually sell the stuff (clothing) but it's all on Clearance because we're discontinuing it. :D

If 60 to 100 dollars for a t-shirt is cheap to you (and for a lot of people it is inexpensive), then sure its trash. "Upscale boutique" brand is how Affliction describes itself.

What brands do you wear?

1. To the original poster, that should be ammended to "I dislike the way some men dress." I have seen gay men in some heinous looking ensembles too.

2. Just because a brand describes itself as "Upscale Boutique" doesn't mean shiz. Ed Hardy (or the designer, Christian Audigier) whored himself out and now you can find his shot glasses, watches, clocks, mugs, plates, purses and t-shirts at Ross.

Ed Hardy's biggest competitor is Affliction since the share similar styles, and trust me no high-end brands aspire to be them, maybe some low end ones who wish to garner the same sales that those shitty brands use to. Thank god people realized how tacky and gaudy looking they were.

If you ever attended any fashion shows, premiers, or are involved in the industry at all those brands are looked down upon... like Juicy velour track jackets and Uggs.

By the way, this season is all neutrals, camel is coming back and so is fur, feathers, and chunky jewelry. :)

3. Don't judge what people wear by their labels, a vintage no-named bomber jacket can be just as fashionable as last season's $500 Versace bomber. It's how pieces are put together, not how many names you can accrue in one outfit.

Now I'm not bashing straight guys, because a lot of them are my really good Judies, but these guys just cannot dress!

I know I'm not the only one who has noticed this trend with mostly straight guys who wear those gaudy shirts with a skull and cross bow. The worst are the ones with metalic design with angel wings in the back. If you can't think of what I'm talking about just think of how those douche bags from Jersey Shore dress.

Don't you ever wanna just give your straight friends makeovers.

Some people can pull that look off (except the guido hair) and it looks good on them.

I hate the way some straight guys dress too but some gay guys dress way worse because they try too hard to be fashionable and end up looking like tools, gay and straight .. it doesn't matter. Some people just dress like tool bags.

But how far is too far???

Ed Hardy wine?!

I saw this and wept for the future...

at least the drawings are cool

........

I get accused having all the fashion sense of a straight guy all the time.

I like to point out that just because I'm gay doesn't mean I have a clue about fashion, it's not built-in. A pair of jeans and a t-shirt do me fine.

Thirded. Jeans, tshirts and hoodies.

I'm the same way. I don't even own a suit. Someone dies and I am up shit creek, lol. I do have to say I hate when guys, gay or straight, wear a black or grey suit and then wear brown dress shoes. I noticed this is a trend. I see celebs and news casters do this. A lot of weird shoe choices to me but it's obviously "in" since everyone is doing it. I would never wear a grey suit and brown shoes. I don't care how trendy it is. It looks ridiculous. Anyone know what I am talking about?

I have a pretty good fashion sense and I'm put together well when I dress but not all straight guys dress poorly and not all gay guys dress that great either. Just something to think about.

I like to view brands like them like animals in nature that have colours like bright yellow and red: warning signs to stay the hell away from them. I think my disliking of Tap-Out and the like comes more from my association with the kind of guys who tend to wear it more than anything else.

Personally, I don't think I'm that fashionable myself. When I buy clothes for myself, it's normally skinny jeans and band t-shirts (though I do have some really cool Beatles shirts)

Yeah I agree that looks stupid. For business when i have meetings i wear jeans, a white button down shirt and a blazer. But otherwise jeans and hoodies or tshirts. I like to be comfortable and don't care about what the hot new fashion is. I'm not the kind of guy who's concerned about clothes and i fucking hate shopping.
