I'll give you the rappers, but beyond that there are plenty of excellent, non-rap black artists--Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Pattie LaBelle (I could go on...) but granted these are older artists...

I understand your comment but it was just too general to NOT be a little offensive...
 
There's good new rap out there - it just involves a lot more digging. I like the new Roots CD, for instance.

OMG I can't believe you all forgot the WORST song ever created.... EVER.....

Not only was it mindless and crappy and pointless but it was OVERPLAYED as well...as a matter of fact it was overplayed to the point of wanting to destroy the band with my bare hands followed by every dj in America....

JUST PLAIN AWFUL....

Sidenote I remember driving to New Orleans for Mardi Gras in 2001 and I heard this song every half hour on the whole 10 hour drive there....and the stupid girl I was driving with loved the damn song so I had to hear it each time....

Oh god. I also hate that song by Jennifer Lopez, Que Siste or whatever the fuck it's called. One of her worst songs and it's in spanish so I have NO clue what the hell this bitch is saying.
