I hated P.E. while in school! And you?

I'm not a very competitive type... so as long as I'm with people like myself who don't give a fuck, it's fine.

At my high school, a student caught one of our PE teachers in the showers with a geography teacher. Both men mysteriously resigned from the school the next day...

I liked P.E. when we had wrestling or weight lifting. I didn't like to play ball or do track. I was a bit embarrassed when I took a shower. I was ahead of a lot of my classmates in physical development. I felt a little uncomfortable showing my big, hairy, cock. The guys would tease me. Now it seems stupid that I was embarrassed. I hated one of my coaches. He was a foul mouthed, homophobic dipstick.

It was sheer torture in junior high. I was always last picked for any team and then made fun of for the way I played it. Thankfully I fell right in the middle in the "development" area as I watched pre-puberty boys go through living hell with regard to the size of their dicks. One boy made the mistake of wearing COLORED briefs (during that time white briefs were the only accepted style) and was branded a panty-wearer for years, even into high school. My first experiences with wearing a jock, changing clothes and showering naked in front of other people, etc. I think we carry these scars for life.

I didn't like PE in Junior High - I didn't know the rules to baseball or american football and that's what we did most of the two years I was there - I still don't !oops! - I liked PE in high school, especially track & field, swimming, wrestling and gymnatics. We got to choose what we wanted to take in jr./sr. year. I didn't have a problem with showers in HS. Didn't like it so much in Jr. high.

I never understood why guys wouldn't shower after they worked out. We were required from seventh grade all the way through high school. Because of that, it was no big deal to be naked in front of other guys. I would be more self conscious about body odor and the like if it wasn't able to shower than to be seen naked in front of other men. Now days when I'm at the gym I see guys go through all sorts of contortions, with a towel wrapped around their waist, trying to get their underwear on with no one getting a glimse of their wienne. What a homophobic society we live in. And its always the guys with nothing to show.

I didn't really mind PE, but it wasn't my favorite class. I played hockey outside of school though, so the locker room thing was never a big deal.

SHE ???

Wow things have changed since I was in school.

Okay, I didn't really like PE, especially when I had PE right after lunch and we had to run around the track, and I'd get those cramps.

OR.....

Going to PE and your next class was clear across the school campus, so you had to take a quick shower get dressed and make your next class ON TIME.

Yes, there are plenty of female P.E. teachers now.

Dodge ball... I almost never got hit, but I couldn't throw worth crap, and got yelled at, "You throw like a girl!"

PE gave me a love for individual sports, where my experience depended on me, and not team sports, where I always got picked last. I loved wrestling, because I got to grind guys' faces into the floor and get away with it.

As a junior and senior in high school I was a TA for freshman PE -- that was fun... and I discovered I liked coaching and teaching.

I didn't have much PE experience in college -- the second week I tested out and didn't have to attend.

I was a severely frustrated athlete that didn't understand how to surmount my klutz-komplex.
They should institute activities that help you enjoy your own body more.
Pliometrics, for example.

I HATE IT since elementary school, and I suck at it. especially long distance running, my nightmare.
PE class should be eliminated!!!! from the earth!!!

or just make it elective.

PE in college was better. Much better eye candy in the showers and locker rooms. And the teachers assigned the teams, so I escaped the ugly stigma of being chosen last.

You guys do PE in college? Is that routine? We don't do that here in .za, unless perhaps you are majoring in sports science/human movement science.

We also don't get a grade for PE at school - you just have to do it once a week.

PE at school wasn't my favourite, since I wasn't a star at anything physical. However, I never threw a sickie or anything to bail out of it, and although I wasn't exceptional at most of the sports, I was solid enough to put in a meaningful performance - which sometimes entailed knowing and volunteering for whichever position was least likely to cause damage if I cocked it up - and being a team player.

We also never showered after PE until my last year of high school, when the new coach insisted. Even then, that only lasted two months until winter since the showers were cold water only.

OMG gym class was my FAVORITE class. It was the easiest A ever!

I loved it.

Well, for me I'm like the OP. It was the low point of my school day.

All the humiliation, frustration, embarrassment, anxiety, etc..

^Well, in all the team sports I was picked last. Isn't that just a whole lot of fun!

In the individual sports, like track, I did fine, in some cases, even well.

Also, because I was a "slow developer", seeing all those pre-teens and teens with huge, hairy genitals long before I was the same way--well, it was rough.

And, yes, most PE teachers today might be different--in my day they weren't so "cool".

Like I said I loved PE class, but the shower was never a problem for me.When I was in grade school I went to a private school that had a lousy gym, lousy locker rooms and no showers- it absolutely sucked when you have PE at 11:00 and you can't take a shower. Alot of us petitioned the school to build a shower facility, they never did it. In 10th grade I transfered to a public school with a huge locker room and shower room and a state of the art gym- huge. I played football in 10th & 11th grade- the football players were given the best lockers- you fit just about anything in them. The Football coaches pretty much told us we had to take showers after practices and games, but they didn't enforce it.There were only two kids that wouldn't take a shower, but I didn't have a problem with it at all. I was one of the few who would take a shower after PE class. My home was next to the school, when waterheater was busted, I would go over take a shower before the start of homeroom. The awesome thing was when football season was over we were stilled aloud to keep these lockers, Man I had everything in that locker- four or five towels, soap, shampoo. My mom complained about the missing towels, she didn't complain when she got the heating bill and realized how much Money she was saving by me showering at school- ya she didn't mind it then. Being Nude infront of other people never bothered me-I was always an exhibitionists.

I liked it for the most part, especially swimming.

But there was this one gym teacher that I always fought with. The first month of school, her and I went back and forth. She required that we bring our gym clothes in the second day of school. I couldn't afford anything at the time, and since our first few lessons were OUTDOORS, I figured it wouldn't be a problem.

Of course, it was. The bitch hounded me every day about gym clothes that we didn't even have to change into, and I even told her the circumstances.

Don't even get me started...

I always got an "A" in PE. I dressed every day, didn't really care one way or the other what team I was on or what activity I would have to do. And we had actual tests sometimes, with the darken-in-the-circles sheets and everything. I got 100% on all those tests.

That said, I sucked at every sport and no one wanted me to be on their team. I even got some groans when I was assigned to a team. Too bad for them I thought.

MmmK, truth be told I enjoyed the dressing out and showering part. !oops!

It's strange now that I think back about it. The way the gym was designed there was a window at the end of the 'showers' that led to the coaches office. That way, supposedly, he could 'keep an eye' on us while we showered and make sure we, I dunno, didn't get out of line or something.

Uh huh.

Lots of repressed homoerotic stuff going on there if you ask me.
