I am ready to start dating BUT I am more attracted to black guys than white.

Small Problem #1. I'm not out.....

Small Problem #2. My family is very old fashioned and are against interracial relationships.
:confused::confused::confused:](*,)](*,)

I am pretty sure my mom knows that I am gay so I dont think that when I come out its going to be such a big deal but im scared to tell them about the interracial thing.

Anyone else in my situation?? Someone please help me! #-o

There's beauty in both races, you just have to train your mind to see it.

I already see it....

Im just confused and scared because I sortof met a guy and I dont know how to tell them im gay and at the same time that hes black.

I dont understand why they say its so wronge.

Well if you depend on them for any financial means, do not tell them until you are independent.

Only you will know when to tell them that you are gay. Once they know that, I have a feeling the race of your gay lover won't matter as much as it would have before.

I just bought a dblwide mobile home, but I havent been able to move in yet and I just had a big set back saturday.

I was involved in a hit and run accident and my new car got ruined so now I have to take all my savings and pay the insurance deductable, so I have to stay home a little while longer.

You're "confused" because it's NOT wrong. You seem to understand that your family is not okay with you being gay and even less okay with interracial relationships, but you yourself feel that it's not wrong.

And you're right. Who you love, male or female, black or white, is your decision and your right to love.

You may have trouble dealing with your family's attitudes, but that doesn't mean you're at fault.

At the end of the day, though, it won't be easy given their prejudices, but you'll have to decide between what (or who) makes you happy and who makes your family happy.

She'll survive.

Go for it.

In the same boat and very close to take the big jump, I have the same reservations as you: Mom's gonna freak and Dad's gonna blow a fuse.
So If you feel the same and still depend on them I suggest you wait it out until you absolutely sure you are ready to come out...which is what I've been doing ](*,)

Im just really really depressed. I want to tell mom but I dont know how in the hell im going to tell her...

Mom I'm gay oh and hes black........

My Funeral begins....

I have my own home but im in the middle of remodeling it so im staying at home for now. So I guess I will have to wait until I move before I can do anything.

Dude, relax. You're 20. You've got a long time ahead of you. Don't worry about what your mom is going to think about your black boyfriend until, y'know, you have a black boyfriend. I'm reminded of my musician friends who start arguing about what they're going to wear to theGrammys before they finish recording their album. :)
