I don't know if Apple and Microsoft will last 100 years. I think Samsung will just because of their diversity.

Samsung doesn't have to last that much longer for 100 years - it was founded before WW2.

Of course, there are many wineries and breweries that go back 800 and 1,000 years, but they are not huge companies.

The question was about companies in the past century, not down from The Deluge. And that list stops over three hundreds years ago.

Maybe one should make several categories: newcomers one hundred years ago, struggling big companies from the past, big phat Joan Collins/Betty White companies and the mere Mathusalem ones, bigger or lesser.
Ford or GE have not written their brightest pages over the past decade.

Now they call it Willis Tower.

To think they demanded that design because they need a huge amount of usable, continuous floor space in the lower levels... and back fifteen years when they still would bother about the fact that the base of the antennas made the building the real tallest on Earth

I was going to make a thread on the oldest companies in the world, pointing out how many of them are in Japan.....
