They are quite comfortable, that's for sure! On the downside, they take up a lot of room. When I was a little kid I had a regular pillow for my head, and a body pillow, which I loved to snuggle with. It wasn't as long as the one pictured, but it was thick and solid. My parents got it for me as a substitute for getting into bed with them, and it worked: I felt safe. Of course, once puberty hit, the body pillow became a substitute for all the guys I had crushes on. It wasn't long before it was getting fucked and creamed on daily. Imagine my embarrassment when I came home one day when I was 13 to find it gone, and a new one in it's place. When I went to thank my mom, she told me to "make sure you put a towel on the pillow" from now on when I "used" it.

I've had one of these body pillows for a few years now. Not as long was the one pictured above. I "made" my own. I was looking at one in the local WalMart when i noticed replacement pillow covers next to the body pillows. I decided I had my own extra bed pillows. So i bought the pillow cover and stuffed it with two of my extra pillows.

I think this worked better than buying the "real" thing because you can adjust the size (thickness) the pillows to suit your taste. For instance I found that a thick pillow that you would put you leg on was too high for me. It made my hip feel uncomfortable. I swapped that bottom pillow for a much thinner (worn out) foam pillow and put the thicker one at the top (near chest) which felt like you were hugging someone.
