i mean i didnt know him before he went away but apparently five years in prison changed him because i dont see how he coulda been convicted in the first place. i mean i dont even like him but i am very attracted to him and hes a really nice guy.

Could you please clarify what you'd like the posters to this board to shoot?

You see, none of us know either you or the ex-con, so it is meaningless for anyone here to speculate whether he is a good man, a bad man, right for you, wrong for you or whether your taste in men is good or bad or indifferent. Any ideas or 'advice' we could offer would only be grounded in our own prejudices and experience, or lack of experience, in finding nice ex-cons attractive or anathema. This could potentially be confusing or even dangerous.

But your feelings and motivation for posting about this most recent dilemma in your life are very valid and we're just glad that you feel comfortable asking our advice on substantial matters such as this.

So....you don't like him, but are attracted to him. Well that sounds like the basis of a good solid relationship. But platonic only. Unless you have a fantasy to fulfill about getting nailed by someone from Oz.

Since he's been in prison, he's probably just been a slut anyway, so he's not likely very discriminating in his choice of men. You don't want to just be using the prison 'toilet'.

So, hopefully, you'll keep us all updated as to how this plays out.

You know, this would be such a good plotline for a romance story.

actually, he has another trial that starts today... apparently like 6 years ago, he commited a series of crimes while he was impersonating an officer and there's still one thing he wasn't tried for. i only wanna be friends with him but i might wanna make out with him before he goes because he IS really hott. and the reason im posting on here is bc my best friend thinks that i shouldnt even bother with it since hes an excon so i just wanted to see what yall think... i mean he doesnt have many people that are there for him so i dont wanna just turn my back on him.
 
if he does get convicted this week, he'll be in jail for another year and by the time he gets back, ill be across the country at college

Well, as you say...as long as you're there for him and not just using him to get a quickie while he's vulnerable and then drop him like a piece of burning shit.

Emphasis mine. Not tried after six years???? Bullshit. Not charged maybe, appealed maybe, both unlikely but maybe, but if he's saying he was charged and not tried for six years I don't buy it. Remember that whole right to a speedy trial thingy.

I suspect the present trial is for something quite a bit more recent.

OK so if all you want is a little action off of this guy what's the issue. Unless you are fooling yourself into thinking that's all you want? Maybe, maybe not.

Being an ex-con isn't defacto grounds for dropping him - what is the exact nature of his offense, is he over his legal issues (that would be a no in your case) is he likely to re-offend, etc... But hey, people can change. Most of that only is an issue in the first place if you want to date him. If all you want is his cock. None of that really matters. You're not going to be expecting anything more.

I don't understand, how is it he's out of jail not having served all of his time. They don't let you out for another trial. If he's in jail now, how is it you plan on banging him?

well the whole thing is complicated and i really didnt understand it myself... but all i want is to be friends with him anyway. i told him if he does get convicted, id write him which i completely plan on doing.

Actually, when it comes to the criminal justice system it's not really that complicated at all. He's been accused of committing a crime/crimes with a specific charge/charges, and now he's on trial for that.

It sounds like he doesn't want to tell you exactly what's going on, or you aren't asking.

If all you want to be is friends, then this is all so much non-issue. Just watch your back like you would anyway.
 
well he did tell me but i was confused about how he said it... i just meant its complicated for me to try and understand

g-lexington, i actually read the article about his original trial from 5 years ago and i know what hes bein tried for now; i just dont know why they didnt do it before... but you're right, i should at least figure it out.
