IF YOU CAN...

I went on THURSDAY -- and the line had about 400 people -- since I had a Dentist appointment in a little over an hour -- I decided to go back EARLY on Friday...

I got there an HOUR before they opened -- and there were ALREADY 50 people in FRONT of me...

I can ONLY IMAGINE what it will be like on election day...

IF YOUR STATE ALLOWS you to vote early -- I'd recommend it...

PLUS -- you'll have the ADDED BENEFIT of not feeling like you need to keep up with ALL the campaigns anymore -- SINCE you've ALREADY VOTED!!!

(!)(!)(!)

It's a good thing I do the absentee ballot voting. I don't have to worry about any lines

](*,)](*,)

i am just waiting for my absentee ballot.

only thing about the absentee ballot, at least here in CA, is that they don't count those ballots until last, after all the other ballots have been counted.

i think they should have them already opened and ready to count when the polls close and then they could be counted by the voting machines/computers while they are waiting for ballots to arrive from the various outlying precincts.

eM.:grrr:

early voting begins tomorrow here in s.a.

there is the expectation of a huge turnout monday so i am planning on going tuesday myself.

Are you SURE they do that in California???

I ASKED the place here in Georgia about that -- and THEY SAID that absentee and early votes were counted FIRST...

Makes me feel better about the whole thing...

:):):)

How do you find out where to vote when voting early. I doubt it's at the elementary school where I normally vote.

I love voting early and never have to wait in line here in Redneck Tourist-Trap, Florida.

*shocker*

GL found a linked to it...

BUT -- to make it EASIER...

4380 Memorial Drive, ste 300 (I THINK that is JUST inside the perimeter on the North side of Memorial drive (just past the jail )...

Opens at 8AM -- try and be there around 7AM...

:):):)

I don't get off of work in time to vote early this week, but the polls will be open until 7pm all next week :D

For the last several years some friends and family get mail in ballots.
We sit around a table have snacks and enjoy the process.
For the most part, we each know the individual candidates we are voting for, but we discuss the propositions.
We have many proposition this year and the wording can be quite confusing. TV ads distort some of the props with catchy phrases extolling imaginary virtues.
This year there's a prop encouraging not counting anything some one overlooked and didn't mark as a "no" vote.
There are also deceptive ones for propositions by real estate developers and fast cash stores.
It's more comfortable and less of a hassle than standing in line and feeling pressured to rush.

Hmm...

Good points, here...

I was thinking about going after 5pm, but I know it's gonna take the Repubs a lot
longer than that to steal the election.... ;)

I already voted. Thank god I live in a relatively small town
