I had it on in the background as I was working on other stuff...sometimes I was rolling my eyes or laughing. But one of the things with these come on pitches is that they think that the steady half hour drone will actually effectively hypnotize their patsies into buying the product....repetition, 'testimonials', money back guarantees, building trust...it is all so formulaic that I wanted to stick it out to the end but even I finally broke after 32 minutes.
 
Exploiting the Lonely Hearts Club is an OLD practice.

However, it is unfair to call them creeps. They are lonely. It's easy to blame them for doing desperate things, but if they lived in a world where gay wasn't still reviled, they wouldn't be in that situation.

And, lots of the responding guys probably live in countries where it is still illegal. Y'know, like in Alabama.

That's true that they are definitely lonely, vulnerable and being exploited. But... If you are willingly buying a product on the notion that you can basically use it to brainwash folks, you're kind of a creep. The idea that you can “make any man fall in love with you” as if they have no say in the manner. If that's something you want to actively take part in, I consider you a creep.
