   I had just gotten this very cool vintage jacket and went to put it in the dryer and use one of those dry cleaning bags. I live in an apatment on the second floor, so I had to go to the laundromat they have here. I had just put it in and went back up to the apartment and went out on the balcony(which I could see to the laundromat) right after I got up there I see a guy go in the laundry and open the dryer I was using. I quickly went downstairs ,but he was already gone.
This is the second time I've had something stolen. I wish there was something I could do. I'm getting sick of this kind of crap here. There used to be security here and I never had something like this happen, but a year ago a new management took over and ever since then this whole place has turned to crap.
and there's nothing I can do, I don't think?

There's really nothing you can do about your stolen coat. But if I were you, I wouldn't put stuff in the washers and dryers and walk away again.

Everyone walks away. There are no doors or air conditioning or heat, and it is really small. Like I said I never I've never had a problem before the new managament took over and got rid of the security.

You could always have your stuff dry cleaned... but that would cost a lot more than just sitting at the laundromat while you wait.

I actually took it to the dry cleaners near here. I don't have a car so i tried the nearest one, and they lold me they couldn't do it. Something about the fabric, they said they don't do that anymore. So I had to do it myself and bought one of those dry cleaning bags. I needed to get that "old" smell out of it.

I hope that it does not take a third time for you to learn not to leave the laundry room.

I guess if I had something that was vintage, and wanted to keep it, I would not have left the laungry room knowing in advacnse that there is no security!

I guess I'd just hope that the poor guy needed it more than I did. There are a lot of poor desperate people out there in the post republican era. A couple more democrates in office isn't going to stop the "shit from hitting the fan" after decades of raping the poor. They have to rob the middle and lower middle class because the rich are all hooked up with major fucking security. They've planned ahead knowing full well what they were causing. Sorry about your coat, but some people are fucking freezing their asses off.

I saw the guy from my balcony. The jacket he was wearing was worth more than mine, but I liked it, and it was given to me because that person knew I would like it. Some people just like to steal because they don't wanna do shit.
I have S.A.D. , and because of this I live here with my mother(embarrassing
enough for me). I make little money from home. I'm fuckin freezing my ass off!

NEVER leave your clothes unattended, NOT for a minute, unless you don't care if someone steals them or NOT!!

I too went through a couple of bad experiences when I first moved out on my own.......totally pissed me off cause I too was a little lax in watching out for my stuff!

Some thieves don't really want or need your stuff, they often do it for the thrill of doing it.....I know, I don't get it either; but stuff happens!

I think this time you will NOT forget what happens when you leave your clothes in the washer/dryers........right?

I think I would definitely go to the management and make a formal complaint about the lost coat! Hey, they might have some kind of insurance..?? NOT! lol

Hang in there!(*8*) (*8*)
