I know I shouldn't be, but I'm now genuinely scared of a Trump presidency

No, I cut that part out for a reason. Do not assume this about me because I find your hypotheticals and examples a distraction from the original point I made.

That you cut it out shows you missed the point. Just because you set a single issue above all else doesn't mean everyone has to do the same. Most people consider the array of positions presented, and balance the pluses and minuses.

My conscience is clear because those who are pro gay are also pro everyone else except the disgustingly rich white male elite.

Not true. There are pro-gay politicians who want to take everyone's guns away. That makes them anti-human, because all it would do is leave the criminals armed and everyone else a guaranteed victim.

Like me, they won't be happy with the SCOTUS appointments Trump will make any more than they would have with the appointments Hillary would have made -- both will be dangerous for the Republic. That's why I suggest that Democrats tell Trump they'll support nominees who are strong on the Second Amendment if they match all other desired criteria; it would get nominees approved quickly and be good for individual rights.

Your issue is guns...and the NRA crowd does not support LGBT people or immigrants..they blame us..we are what is wrong with America....get a clue.

You are a one issue voter...you have a bottom line...your critique of other people who have a bottom line is hilarious.

False, false, false, and false.

You must be trying to compete with ben.

No, you are the one missing the point. I have priority in a specific issue and that issue is to make sure I am being respected as a human being before anything else. It doesn't have to do with everyone having to do the same, you are twisting the conversation already. Which is the very reason why I don't do hypothetical and examples in these types of conversation, because it ends up leaving the original point.

I am not saying everyone has to have the same priority issue that I have, I said people cannot say they are in "support" of a group of people then vote the other way. It is really simple to understand, if you're having problems with understanding this, that is on you.

Again, your position boils down to being a one-issue voter: no one, according to you, can claim to support something if he chooses a candidate who is against that thing. So by your view, most Americans don't support a lot of the things they actually support.

BTW, the proof that I'm not a one-issue voter is that I refused to vote for Trump, even though he was the strongest supporter of the Second Amendment. I judged that he would turn the country into sch a corporate feudal state that the only way out would be a "Second Amendment remedy", and I'd prefer to avoid that.

No it really doesn't, I am a priority voter. I never said I would vote for someone just because they were for LGBTQ rights, I said that's my priority before anything else. You really have a problem with understanding what people said and attempting to read and assume what is not actually there. If someone doesn't say something, don't assume what is not said just to try and make a point in a discussion.

I see -- so you might not actually support gay rights!

The thing is, you're doing exactly what you're condemning: you're ASSUMING that someone can't support gay rights if voting for a candidate who doesn't. That's all it is -- your assumption. You're reading into other people's actions what isn't there.

But for you it is a win anyway isn't it?

The NRA will have total control over gun policy for the next 4 years.

Enjoy it.

Put me down for "genuinely scared". Three little words: Trump will have...

NUCLEAR LAUNCH CODES

I would be "genuinely scared" if he could walk my dog.

Not false..if someone wanted to take away guns.....you would NOT vote for them...

Hillary wasn't going t take away guns...you had an easy choice.

The NRA people lie all the time about the 2nd amendment....they lie about pretty much everything..like pretending they are only about guns..they aren't.

You really have a hard time reading don't
You?

And so will four other people. He cannot launch them alone.

Hillary is on record during the campaign supporting confiscation.

So yes, if someone wanted to take away guns I would not vote for them, because that is a pro-criminal position. I will not vote for anyone who believes society would be better off if I were dead, and my friend had been raped, and the kids I was in charge of on a camping trip had been molested.

Not at all -- I'm just applying logic to your statements. The problem is you want your subjective opinion to be counted as logic.

You'd have a point if someone were advocating rounding up gays and sending us all to concentration camps, but no one is.
